Jun-05-14  Travis Bickle: Lady Jess, another good creepy horror flick that I don't think you've seen is Homicidal! Also a horror film with a twisted sense of humor is Re-Animator...

Your pal, Travis

Jun-05-14  Travis Bickle: Hey Jess so you finally found Homicidal! I think it was made in response to Hitchcock's Psycho. Anyway it scared the hell out of my sister & myself when we seen it as kids! ; P

I recently joined IMDB. Are you a member?

Anyways I mainly joined to make this "Best Indie Horror" list so that I could keep track for myself which are my favorite Indie Horrors:

http://www.imdb.com/list/ls070522782/

If you have any recommendations to add to the list, please post them!

-Can we shoot at it?

Man that WILDCO song is great, thanks. Good and long too the way I like my hypnotic songs.

You know the title reminded me of this also hypnotic <Lee Hazelwood> song here, featuring <Nancy Sinatra>:

Good heavens!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wf1...

Is that from a video game? Did you know the great Belgian composer/singer <Wim Mertens> got his start making video game music, back in the day when video game music sounded like a tinny demented carnival.

Now, apparently, it sounds more like a cross between Norwegian Death Metal and the Go Gos.

Jun-07-14  Thanh Phan: <jessicafischerqueen> It's from the RWBY (red white black yellow) animation series Pretty neat action set

Love the Stephen King's stories, movies and books ^.^ Don't read many other horror books, but I watch movies, here is one I recommend, it's Thai horror movie called Evil, has subtitles https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y92...

Jun-07-14  Travis Bickle: Hey Jess, have you ever seen the horror film 'Stranger in the house' from 1974? I think it was originally called Black Christmas. That's 1 for your list. ; P

Also, have you ever seen the horror flick Mr. Sardonicus? It was made in the early 60's...

P.S. Let me know what you think of 'Homicidal'. ; P

When it catches on in Canada, who would you like to see get the job?

Jun-07-14  Boomie: <Thanh>

To understand the history of the horror genre and enjoy some great writing, read Poe and Lovecraft. Poe was our most creative writer. Lovecraft's stories contain disturbing ideas of inbred monsters rising in remote villages. Very creepy stuff. He is not the writer that Poe was but then again, who is?

Jun-07-14  chessmoron: <jfq> Some of Ti West's horror films were quite good like "The House of the Devil."
Jun-08-14  playground player: <jessica> <Mrs. PGP> found an old black-and-white French horror movie for us yesterday, <Eyes Without a Face>. Quite an effective mood piece--even though we had to watch it on youtube on something called <Dumpsterpiece Theater>.

<Boomie> Lovecraft's influence on the horror genre cannot be overrated--even though he didn't get much traction in his lifetime, and recognition came posthumously. I hate it when that happens.

<The Shadow Over Innsmouth> is my favorite Lovecraft story. Superb!

Thanks for "Mr. Sardonicus" which I did find and add to the collection.

I haven't watched it or "Homicidal" yet but I will catch up on the weekend.

Here is the list now- I had to delete some of the selections because it's an <Indie Horror> list, which means no big budget studio pictures.

Luckily there are almost no big budget horror pictures:

Offer thanks for THAI HORROR- here is the imdb page: The House (2007)

I downloaded it and I'll watch it also on the weekend.

But I already added it to my list.
