Thank you for the recommendation for "Eyes Without a Face"!

I actually already have that one, but I haven't watched it yet. I'll watch that on the weekend.

In the mean time, I'm adding it to the list: http://www.imdb.com/list/ls07052278...

I didn't get where I am today by not adding the horror movie picks of friends putting them on my favorite "Indie Horror Movies" IMDB list without watching them first.

You have excellent taste in horror.

I looked up <Ti West> and discovered that I had already watched, and enjoyed all of his movies without even realizing it!

I put my favorite Ti West on the list, "The Innkeepers" which was so good I watched it twice already: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1594562...

I should add that the <Moody Genius> is also uploading "lossless" sound files, which is why they sound so great.

Thanks for those vintage 60s tunes man. I especially like the "All Right Now" which I saw live recently in a documentary on the "Isle of Wight Festival."

There were many hippies in the documentary, and there were several instances in the film where this adage was indeed born out:

"Never go to a second location with a hippie"

Careful. Some gossip rags and penny dreadfuls might paraphrase that into:

"Looks like I picked a bad week to drop acid."

<caucho, Ohio>

QUESTION: "The Joker" includes the line "pompatus of love" right?

When was the first time you realized that was the actual word Steve wrote?

Do you think it's a real word, and if so, what does it have to do with the rest of the lyrics?

I need to know, and I refuse to GOOGLE because I've just about had it with that young man.

I'm looking for an alternative "steady date"- maybe <Yandex> or <Duck Duck Go>.

Jun-20-14  Boomie: <jessicafischerqueen: I thought this *was* the gossip rag?>

That's the scuttlebutt...whatever that means.

Any grandiose plans for the weekend?

<"Whack a Mole" brand timpons>

heh...

You reminded me of a moment in my life I'd like to live over if I could.

I was in a most appalling greasy spoon in downtown Vancouver, and I asked an old guy

"Where is the washroom"

Whereupon he replied

"Isn't this it?"

HAHAHAHAHAAHAH

As for the weekend, no grandiose plans. I finally got a good night's sleep though, so I'm up for pretty much anything.

What are your plans? I did think of you months ago but forgot to mention. Or maybe I did. Recently I couldn't recall the name "Tom Cruise" and went into a panic, researching early onset Alzheimer's websites. How embarrassing!

Anyways...

The gritty and well-acted TV series "The Killing" is set "in Seattle" but in fact it's shot in Vancouver.

They use stock panaorama views of Seattle, making sure to show the Space Needle- but the actual scenes are shot in downtown Vancouver.

Notable location spots I noticed immediately:

Horseshoe Bay

Hastings "homeless drug community" block.

I recommend this series.

Jun-20-14  chessmoron: Speaking of penny dreadfuls, have you seen the TV "gothic horror" series, "Penny Dreadful" starring Eva Green and Timothy Dalton--a pair of Bond franchise alumni.

<The gritty and well-acted TV series "The Killing" is set "in Seattle" but in fact it's shot in Vancouver.>

If you have time, see the original Danish series particularly season 3. It's absolutely fantastic.
