"What would fettles bear?"

Speaking of Zines, I may be imagining this but didn't a punter recently offer you a King's Ransom for something from your Zine selection, and you refused to sell?

I admire a man of Zine principle.

Possibly "Muffin Man" might help out with this and other topics:

One of the all time great live groups. I saw them at a concert they actually showed up for. A friend who is one of the 8 million people who claims to have been at Woodstock says they were the best group there. I love Sly's message of love and brotherhood. Plus nobody has been funkier.

Here's Rolling Stone magazine's top 500 songs list. No surprise that Bob Dylan's, 'Like a Rolling Stone' is numero uno. Heh. Well, it is certainly one of the best songs Dylan wrote and that's saying a lot.

Hoot! Hoot!

Il como lako magnifico!

There was a "Como Lake" near my house where I grew up. Your fine Italian version is much more magnificent, thought I've never been.

How are you man? Tutti bene?

You may be pleased to know that my forum is currently operating under the protection of the Molinari family, although we officially recognize that not all Italian Americans are in the Mafia.

Probably most of them though.

Quite right. Bob's "best songs" number more than the entire list.

His unreleased material is better than the top songs by others.

Here is some very rare video footage of <Bob Dylan> explaining the state of affairs to <Lennie Cohen>:

Jun-28-14  Boomie: <Jessongbird: This fine Paul Simon song...>

Simon is one of the 4 great folk song writers. He is every bit as good as Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, and Leonard Cohen. And he's a fine guitar player.

"The Boxer" was one of my favorite songs to play. Not only are the lyrics nearly perfect, the guitar playing is an exemplar of the finger picking folk style.

I do declare
there were times that I was so lonesome
I took some comfort there.

Jun-28-14  Travis Bickle: <Boomie> Hey Boomster, I think Bob Dylan is an under-rated guitarist as well!

Tangled up in Blue - Robert Zimmerman

Jun-28-14  Boomie: <Travis Bickle>

Surprisingly, Joni Mitchell is listed by Rolling Stone as one of their top 100 guitarists. She suffered from polio as a child and this affected her left hand. To compensate, she invented numerous tunings. She used around 50 different tunings!

Did you see in <tbnoe's> forum? TOMMI JOMMIE got his fingers cut off and had to build plastic fingers. Then he went on to become a <Rolling Stone> top 100 all time guitar player.

Also he looks a bit like <Joni Mitchell>, in that they both like to wear outlandish 70s style hats.

Yes to be sure and jinx too. I was going to post the <Boxer> in your forum yesterday, thinking of my favorite line from that track:

"But he carries the reminders,
Of every glove that laid him down
And cut him till he cried out
"I am leaving, I am leaving,"
But the boxer still remains."

This has to be the best song ever about a popular, though troublesome, breed of dog:
