Good heavens <Big Jinx> Not three seconds ago I just sent you an incoherent email. Ahh the Grand Tetons...
But they pale in comparison to this:

| Aug-02-14 | | thegoodanarchist: < Boomie: <Jessie> I'm growing too fond of the sitcom Vicious. Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi play gay men who have been together for 48 years. They show their affection for each other through insults. Well, at least then they know that they care...sort of...> The sitcoms about straight people aren't much different. |

However, now that you mention it, apparently you didn't read the post either since my extraordinarily clever play on the group's name, The Bazombies, went by without comment. Not to mention the "Ruddy Kipper" offering in my following post entitled "What's 50 Quid to the Bloody Bank of England?" My totally unsolicited advice to you is: more savoring, less speed reading. Smell the roses, gull. |

Good thinking. I did indeed miss the Zombies reference. Here are some frightening zombies attacking! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5IR...

My <notsobadanarchist> "If" is a movie twice over then? Not the Lindsay Anderson cult film which I've seen, but also a movie based on Kipling's "If"? Surely they can't be based on the same book, since it features a gun battle in a school. I may be confusing both with the <Monty Python> version here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNOV...
Bloody Kipling rushed his out whilst theirs was still at the chemist's... |

Don't look behind you! It's Zombies!!!
They didn't have a whole lot of hits, but their best songs were as good as anything in the 60's. "Time of the Season" and "She's Not There" are just great songs. Their other hit is now appearing on Hullabaloo - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezS... It's similar to some ballads the Beatles did early on such as "Taste of Honey" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akl... |

Yes this "third Zombie" film is as good as the first two you list- actually it might have the sweetest melody of the trio, fitting in with your <Beatles> comparison: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezS... This band has a lilting, swinging style, suitable for a lounge at an art deco airport, where nobody has even heard of "No Smoking" signs. Those were the days. Probably. |

It just struck me- given that you prefer the Mexican pronunciation of your first name, are you related to <Howard>? Thanks for the great song- I never heard that before and who doesn't like <John Sebastian>. Only crabby people don't like him. Speaking of cheery 60s icons, here is some <Arlo Guthrie> stoned out of his mind, in case you secretly wanted to see this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRpj... |

Yes it's true the only kind of movie that has more episodes than <planet of the apes> is <zombies>. I think maybe half of all horror movies are zombie films and the other half might be monkey-related. I'm waiting for a good HD copy of the new <Planet of the Apes> to show up- I can't wait to see it actually. I still like the original most though.

Another example of the enduring quality of Bach and his eternal influence on music is Procol Harem's "A Whiter Shade Of Pale". This was their first single and is still one of the biggest selling of all time. The base line and organ are vintage Bach riffs which the boys used to great effect. This was one of the anthems of the Summer of Love. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mb3... |
