Bloody magical I tell you... I still listen to this whole record over and over, and that documentary I saw on <Stone Roses> was heart breaking.

Worst swindle in music history, maybe.>

Thanks Jess soz slow getting back ...

The Stone Roses defined an era .. defo in England... I bought their eponymous album and nobody had heard of them ....

<Hozza Swindles>

Almost <Bruce Springsteen> "The Bussah"

He was on the cover of TIME and Newsweek as the GREAT BIGGEST NEXT ROCK STAR and then he was promptly forgotten due to no new music- because his record company was screwing him and he wasn't able to release any new material until the legal battle was over.

Luckily, The Bussah came back big time some years later.

That "New Radicals" track is awesome, man. Thanks for posting it. He sounds kind of like a cross between David Byrne and Mick Jagger: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPA...

I found this NOT TO BE MISSED documentary about your family!

I just watched it and it's excellent: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7Ko...

Would you consider making a biographical documentary about him?

Thanks <Ohio>! A spooky Halloween to you too.

That's a classy list, as was the one <Tbone> posted a few days ago.

A particularly good film from the "Huff" list is the original "Funny Games" by the enigmatic Michael Haneke. I bet <McLovin> has seen it.

I have noticed you frequently post items on a wide variety of different topics from the "Huffington Post."

QUESTION: is the "Huffpost" just short for "Huffington Post," or is it a separate concern?

I see "Huffpost" articles linked frequently on the abominable Yahoo home page. I fear it may be the low rent version for people who like to read about Miley Cyrus.

Actually I think "Yahoo" is the low rent version of email as well...

Two of my favorite songs, as you know!

"Born to Run" was the first song that got me interested in The Bussah.

Here is another Bussah favorite:

Heh... <Lee> I did indeed catch that gem. And here I thought I was already an adult.

Turns out I was wrong?

I guess you don't know this because I haven't been commenting for a while, but I don't miss any of the publications on your website.

I had briefly considered writing a series of comments such as "Great!" and "Super!" on many of your articles, but I was afraid I might mystify your other readers...

Thanks for that infectious <Manfred Mann> hit!

You probably already know this, but one of Manfred's biggest hits was written by The Bussah.

Here is Manfred's version, followed by The Bussah version:

So as not to mystify readers, <Bruce Springsteen's> nickname was "The Boss."

When I lived in Montreal, the French DJs insisted this was pronounced "The Bussah."

Nov-07-14  playground player: <jessicafischerqueen> I didn't get where I am today by mystifying my readers.

In light of my latest quarterly sales figures, though, I might as well try it.
