Great live track from the Stones, thanks!!

Here is the track that first got me into the great "Exile on Main Street"

Perhaps you aren't as familiar as you should be with Dan Hicks and his Hot Licks. One of the most unique and coolest groups from the 60's.

<Teem>! Brilliant Mexarcana vibe!!

I *knew* there was a back story behind your enigmatic name "Teem."

Nov-08-14  Boomie: <Jesstickles>

In fact, you should collect the whole Dan Hicks enchilada on the album "Striking it Rich". There you will find little gems like this homage to me.

<Hanh> Isn't it a great movie? I have watched it at least 100 times.

Nov-08-14  Alien Math: <jessicafischerqueen> Very much an amazing movie, even if heart beat fast, would recommend for viewing :)

I was serious: I think that <Penguin = Ping> is brilliant.

Nov-09-14  Travis Bickle: Hey Jess, here's a short film on Brian Wilson's Masterpiece, 'Pet Sounds', an album that came straight from his soul. Brian's genius work was made under tremendous self pressure of perfectionism & resulted in Brian going over the edge after the album wasn't a great success because it was so ahead of it's time...

It inspired Lennon & McCartney to make Sgt Peppers...

<The Castle of Otranto> Thanks for that revealing MONSTER LIST.

I had no idea Godzilla was so short in real life. Or that the great Ralph Fiennes was acting in Harry Potter films.

I guess they pay better than Shakespeare.

I'm going to have to give the award to Frankenstein. Who knew he enjoyed tea and toast?

<H> Thanks, but it wasn't too hard to come up with. You see, PENGUIN is a palindrome for PING.

<caucho> Thanks for that great track. It seems that the earlier in Disco history, the more funky the tracks? Or am I imagining that?

Here is a rare Disco track from The Who (now in stereo!):

Brilliant- I'm just now getting both the Pet Sounds documentary and the actual record in FLAC LOSSLESS SOUND.

I'll be back later with a review.

Nov-10-14  Travis Bickle: Hey Jess, 'Pet Sounds' might not be your cup of tea. I think it takes more than a few listens to acquire a taste for that record... Paul Mac loved it because of all the great harmonies, lyrics & all the different sounds Brian used for the record.

Here is Paul McCartney inducting Brian Wilson into the Songwriter's of Fame. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYR...

Nov-10-14  Travis Bickle: Jess, here is a short clip I had on my forum with Brian Wilson & George Martin The Beatles Record Producer.

Nov-10-14  Travis Bickle: Jess forgive me for flooding your forum with all this Pet Sounds information. Here is a poorly edited but interesting small clip about Brian Wilson & The Beatles at that moment in time...

<Trombone>

I've been listening to "Pet Sounds" in LOSSLESS FLAC format (whatever that actually means) for my entire lunch hour so far.

I think the record is brilliant- almost like classical music in its intricacies.

Nov-11-14  Alien Math: <jessicafischerqueen> Free Lossless Audio Codec should provide well replay of sound, having FLAC are more notice when having use of hi-fi speakers as more often detect when sound muffle or when cymbals or snare drums would appear crisp
Nov-11-14  Travis Bickle: Hey Jessie, good news! Pink Floyd has a new album coming out called 'The Endless River'.
