| Nov-24-14 | | Thanh Phan: A visiting friend who noticed my interest in a coat in one of the ads and clicked on it (a first for us), allowed us to find this years winter coat for us, even if it's sleeves seem very long for the size small the coat itself is very warm <Long Sleeves Hooded Thickened Faux Fur Lined Waistband Beam Waist Pockets Korean Style Casual Women's Coat http://www.dresslily.com/long-sleev...> |

| Nov-25-14 | | thegoodanarchist: m' lady: I am searching for a famous photo of our great Bobby Fischer, in Reykjavik, outside of a car, looking supreme in a fine suit, pulling away from the crowd as ladies seem to tug at his arm. I cannot seem to find it on google. Can you post a link? Thank you |
|
| Nov-25-14 | | thegoodanarchist: Never mind :) [in my sweetest Emily Latella voice]
I found it at 2:56 here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJV... Although on closer inspection it doesn't appear that his arm is tugged by anyone. More likely he was just making long strides. |
|
| Nov-25-14 | | thegoodanarchist: I have just been watching the video 5/6 about Bobby Fischer, and remembering how he won the title when I was 6 years old. Some of the old photos conjure up memories of the news coverage I followed as closely as a 6 year old could. I was so sad when he died and still miss him dearly, as he was the one who inspired my entire family to learn chess. |

| Nov-26-14 | | Travis Bickle: Thanks Jessica, for the 2 great song links you put on my forum!! ; ) Here's an early clip of The Beatles that is very good quality! Here is the magic of Lennon & McCartney with a little help from their friends... ; P You Can't Do That

| Nov-26-14 | | Travis Bickle: Jess, I found another rare American television performance by The Beatles. It was so early in their career they did a cover song they didn't write! Kansas City - The Fab 4 (video starts at 10 seconds in)

P.S. if you scroll down your forum you can see Alice Cooper singing Eleanor Rigby for the new 'The Art of Paul McCartney' disc! ; P |

<Doctor: I can't see! I'm blind!Madge: Oh no, love, you're not. I think you've just got your helmet on backwards. How did you manage that? Doctor: I got dressed in a hurry.

| Nov-27-14 | | Alien Math: Does anybody still care about chess?
In the summer of 1972, newspaper editors were not short of headlines. Yet, holding an almost daily place on the front pages was a chess match in the tiny Icelandic capital of Reykjavik. Never before or since has chess captured the world's imagination in quite this way. It became known as "The Game of the Century".
At stake was the world crown.
Over four decades later, and the world chess championship is again front page news. At least it is in Norway.
In a recent episode of a British game show, Pointless, fewer people recognized his name than that of the 1972 champion - Bobby Fischer. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-30006019 |

Brilliant Alice Cooper. At first I thought it was the Fab Four singing, but it's really him. What an underrated singer he is. Here is another fine performance by Alice Cooper:

I also predicted that Viswanathan Banana would win, and even factored that into my futile outing in <Ohio> and <McLovin's> latest predict the I never really looked closely at what we were supposed to predict. I only wanted to beat the Menky. |
