Feb-08-15  chessmoron: <jessica> Have you watched "Whiplash" yet? I saw it a couple of months ago. The last 15 minutes is INSANELY good.

<McLovin> lol it's certainly not a horror, but I did indeed see <Whiplash> already and I agree- great, great movie.

So is the new movie about <Alan Turing>.

On <Whiplash>, I thought <The Guy From Law and Order Special Utility Vehicle> stole the show. A tour de force performance. He made cussing a true art form, best in that vein since <Lee Ermey> in <Full Metal Jacket>.

Please keep me in mind for any and all further recommendations.

"Coke and Rum" is actually an interesting video- fresh idea and sound.

It's definitely more relaxing than <Ice Cube> threatening to kill the police, though NWA also has fresh ideas and sound.

Then there's the "other side" of <Ice Cube>, having fun with Jiminy Glick and also portraying a gentle, compassionate character in the excellent film <Friday>: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113118...

This film is immortal because it brought the fine adjective "no-pussy-getting" to a wider audience.

<McLovin> I did in fact see "Burrowers", in a way.

I turned it off after 10 minutes because it failed to hold my interest.

I'm willing to give it a second chance though, since I admit I have the attention span of a two year old.

I blame the internet...

I doubt that. Have you seen the fine Canadian film about you called <Black Robe>?

Well worth a shout: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101465...

Feb-13-15  Travis Bickle: Jess would you consider 'Requiem for a Dream' an Indie Horror film to make your list? I would. ; P

<tbone> I certainly would consider "Requiem for a Dream" an indie horror, but I already added it to the list. You already suggested it before! heh

It's number 42, and I gave you credit when I wrote the brief description under the entry.

SMOOV E!!! aha. Now I will investigate SMOOV E.

Thanks for the history on ELI <tbne>.
