Speaking of memory, the cartoon made me think yet again how Brian Nolan wasted all his time on those execrable Batman "films" when he could have been making more movies like "Memento."

Her environment, her surroundings and her social reactions and even speach are a new and foreign world to her, an alien environment,

From a social standpoint to her new found freedoms (if any) for speech, could automatically create tension for her, an automatic self defensive reaction of preservation,

Losing what is considered <normal> for her could also bring homesickness type thoughts and emotions, not unlike some of us who moved from Vietnam to Alaska,

Some encouragement or even showing acceptance with a smile or nod could help yet I would probably caution about over exerting such actions towards her,

Given time I think she could grow to accept her new environment or grow disillusioned, sometimes that happens with people who had to flee and leave their world behind,

I found it interesting to learn of her knowledge of Chinese and yet there is a small Chinese community and 4 of the 11 provinces border with China,

I'm not really good at maths per se, but if you or anyone else wants to, all of the North Korean labor camps can easily be viewed on Google Earth.

Essentially, the entire industrial workforce is enslaved in these camps.

They don't really have any kind of "economy" that anyone has seen since Stalin's Soviet Union.

Luckily, thanks to me (or anyone else who wants them), having access to literally thousands of proxy services, I was able to hear this excellent track.

Stalin took the bad system that Lenin put together and made it even worse, a system of suspicion, recrimination, lies and paranoia that required systematic ongoing purges (murders) to eliminate "enemies" and "traitors".

Anyone with any talent at anything was viewed as a threat, so the fear of murder basically paralyzed the entire country until Stalin's death. By then it was too late, and the Soviet Union was in a death spiral that culminated in collapse less than 4 decades after Stalin's demise.
