  jessicafischerqueen: Hi <Hoot>!

Hoot!

Yes I watched a lot of webcam of that game last night- <Kramnik> looks to be under tremendous strain.

So does the Shark for that matter, and also <Elf Land> and <Kamchakta>.

I bet all my chessbucks on <Kamchatkta> to advance to the next round.

jessicafischerqueen: <Travis> I know what you mean about <Brady>, it's a bit of a dry approach.

However, I find Bobby so fascinating that any detail about him keeps me going to the next paragraph.

Brady is thorough, which is what I think the main strength is.

There are some errors in the book, which <The Focus> has itemized in his forum.

I have the attention span of a newt.

I blame the internet.

jessicafischerqueen: <Nathan> I think your man will go through, he has the most high stakes Match experience, by far.

Experience counts for a lot- it's how <Steinitz> and <Lasker> were champion for so long.

Almost unbeatable in Match play.

May-14-11  achieve: <Jess> Here's a musical gem for you:

Lind Ronstadt singing a Randy Newman composition, Real Emotional Girl, with the genius himself backing Linda on the piano.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZ3d... (turn up the volume for "full effect" as the audio is quite low here)

My personal view is that Randy Newman is one of the best Pianists of the 20th century. In the top 10. His accompaniment is of a delicacy, touch-wise, and harmonic intelligent beauty that is hardly if at all rivaled.

May-14-11  Travis Bickle: Hi Jess I thought I'd send ya a song I know you like! ; P

jessicafischerqueen: <Neils> the tone of the piano matches the tone of Linda's voice- the physical setting is intimate, and the song selection suits the best of what Linda does, which is not Rock n' Roll songs but rather lyrical songs like this one.

Agree- the combination of Newman and Ronstadt here= sounds like they've been together for thirty years.

A performance of rare beauty.

jessicafischerqueen: <T-Bone> how did you know that was one of my favorite songs? Did I mention it to you before?

It's about RACING ACTION, but it's so lyrical that it's innocent.

"She comes in colors everywhere,
She combs her hair,
She's like a rAAAAAAIN BOW"

jessicafischerqueen: <Travis> that's from "Her Satanic Majesty Request" right?

Who is playing the piano? Not Brian Jones he's already been kicked out.

Is it Billy Preston?

May-14-11  achieve: <Agree- the combination of Newman and Ronstadt here= sounds like they've been together for thirty years.> Two true artists teaming up and making it look easy, yet so unique. If they'd play this every night each time would be different, yet superior to all the MS crap we... .

There was something else of MAJOR importance I'd like to tell you about, but now I forgot!

May-15-11  Boomie: <JessieRoo>

I've stumbled on an idea that will make us all rich as thieves.

We all know how annoying car horns are. They are just so tinny.

The programmable Boomie Box will only produce woody sounds.

Instead of a tooth jarring honk, imagine a throat clearing "Ahem!" or a discrete "Pssst!".

Humorous variations such as "Yo, Bubba!" or "Exqueeze me!" may help reduce road rage.
