Thanks <Jezza>

It's derailed me for a bit .. He played for The Villa ( my other love)

and was only 44 ..

Anyway ! ....

Life moves on !

Apr-23-17  harrylime: The Chelski- Spurs FA semi was a phenomenal match .. Welcome back the BEAUTIFUL game ...

Spurs dominated for loooooong periods and were the better side for most of the match ... but Chelski had scored two soft goals , and nothin from open play , so just felt Spurs had to make their dominance count , coz I knew Chelski would score again , if that makes any sense...

Tottenhams' second goal was a thing of great beauty .. what the beautiful game IS all about .. Eriksen one touch ( amazing pass !) onto Dele Alli ... next touch ... Goal !

If Spurs would've scored again during their saturation of Chelski's half, they would've gone on to win .. but they did'n't and it's just how the game goes I guess...

Chelsea are an obstacle Tottenham have to conquer if they're to win ANYTHING over these next few seasons ..

Onwards and upwards for Tottenham..

In <POCKETCHESS> they have an uber cool and smart manager ..

In their new stadium they will have the best in the land..

Just this foooookin wembley hoodoo .. jeez ..

And Hope either Citeh or Arse do chelski in the final ... tho I'm not bitter lol lol

Apr-23-17  harrylime: <jessicafischerqueen: <Hozza>

On the bright side... top fives- not "the best" but simply the ones I like the best, at the moment:

####################

<GAFFERS>

1. <Pocket Chess> A shoe-in for manager of the year, if not for <Conte> and Chelsea. Spurs would have to overtake them for <Pocket Chess> to win.

2. <Big Sam Allardyce> Performed a miracle this season with Palace, and how can you not love a man who looks *exactly* like a St. Bernard.

3. <Mark Hughes> Stoke City, the little team that could... some of the time.

4. <Arson Benge> Long suffering, doesn't get enough credit or loyalty for what he's done at Arsenal.

5. <Jose Feliciano> For two reasons, the second being the most important- he can outwit any given manager on a given day, the way he just did to <Conte>. But mainly because he regularly gets banned by the officials and has to sit in the upper stands, with no cellphone. lol <Feliciano>...

#############################

<PLAYERS>

1. <Delicatessan Ali> The soul of Tottenham, more indispensable than <Hazza> even.

2. <Crouchy> At age 56, still going strong and scored a beauty last weekend. He's all class and he has his 100 career league goals now.

3. <Joe Allen> The only player almost as short as Lestah's <Shinji Godzilla>- he's a buzzsaw, for both Whales and Stoke City.

4. <Ross Barkley> Gets a lot of stick for maybe the most promising Englishman on tap, at the moment.

5. <Wilf Zaha> Recently scored the most beautiful goals in the history of football- Player of the month for me, far and away. He looked like <Cruyff> here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVV...

###########################

<PUNDITS>

1. <Gary Neville> Never, ever misses a chance to give Chelsea stick.

2. <Jamie Carragher> Not afraid to piss off the big stars, and he's right most of the time for my money.

3. <Alan Shearer> Soft spoken, funny, dead accurate.

4. <Thierry ENNUI> lol Tough to understand what he's saying because of his outrageous French accent, but I find myself agreeing with him much of the time.

5. <Garry Lineker> Glib, smarmy, the guy we love to hate, but I love him all the same. You've got to have at least one oily smartass on a list like this.>

lol

I'll get back to ya on this ! lol

<Hozza> yes FA Cup semi <Spurs v Chelsea> was cracking good. It was the most thrilling match I watched this year so far.

<Conte> was smart, or so it turned out, to keep his two best players on the bench- I think when they came on it had a bad psychological effect on Spurs. At any rate Chelsea won because Hazzard and Costa came on.

Lots of positives for <Spurs> fans as you say- and I think <Pocket Chess> is potentially a great manager.

But the club has to start winning some hardware, or any hardware- and something holding them back is that last yard of "belief" that they belong with top tier competition. I think this lack of belief partly accounts for their appalling record at <Wembley>.

<Spurs> might be the best starting 11 on paper, as more than a few pundits have maintained, but they need to be the best starting 11 <when it counts the most>, which are the games where hardware is at stake- <EPL championship>, <English cup competitions>, and <European competitions>.

Unless they can win hardware, <Pocket Chess>, <Hazza Kane> and <Delicatessan Alley> will not be remembered in the same way that <Jimmy Greaves>, <Glen Hoddle> or <Gazza> are remembered today.

Nor should they be.

Also what is Watford thinking with this gaffer who can't even speak English?

<Walter Masserati> might be a great car, he might even be a great manager but how is he going to "manage" that in the Watford clubhouse since almost their whole squad are pint swilling, hard working English lads.

Call me crazy but I can't see an English squad really getting behind a gaffer who can't even be arsed to learn English.

More strange news on gaffers, what aboot <Marco Silva>? I think Hull City will be relegated, but they haven't lost at home under Silva- not once. Silva has an improbable string of what is it- 450 games now without a home loss if you include his previous teams.

Hull City can't lose at home, and yet they absolutely can't win on the road.

lol

<Teem>! Did you hear the good news aboot Seattle?

My VPN proxy server tells me I'm connected to "Seattle" but I just opened Google in a new tab and was surprised to see that Seattle has now joined the <Česká republika>.

I suppose that's an added layer of anonymity if my own VPN server can't keep track of where I am.

Apr-23-17  Boomie: <Jessie: <Èeská republika>>

Loosely translated, I believe that means "Cascadia", the name of your realm, eh?

Which explains the popularity of the Adopt-a-Squatch program. Why, they are practically a fashion statement.
