Jul-07-17  technical draw: <jessicafischerqueen> . Thank you for those kind words on Big Pawn;'s forum. They really lit up my heart and gave me a glimmer of hope in these trying times. I may act as jokester and win funniest kibitzer but you'll be surprised to know that I am considered an expert in biblical hermeneutics and the deep teachings that God has placed in the Bible still waiting to be found

Torah students worldwide study these books of the law just as they have done for millennia. Honoring God is not finding answers but searching for them.

I am also an Abrahamic Scholar, and I can attest to the intertwined lives of these giants and how Jesus is the fulfillment the Abrahamic promises.

Well that's enough sermon for today. I take the chance to ask that if anyone wants to learn about Abraham in an honest way not with gotcha! ideas. Then you can visit my forum and we'll chat.

By the way let me note that my Mother is a Moroccan Jew who escaped uprisings in her Morocco when she was she was two. She went to France and her wise sister decided to send her to the US. The US would not except but they sent her to Cuba. But her sisters said that she should not return to Europe under any circumstance. My Aunts were pretty smart. So she stays in Cuba, forgets the little French she knew and was classified as a DP until she met my father an American citizen working with Cuba on a new invention called television. So she got married at 15 obtained US citizenship, went to Illinois and became an expert on TV assembly line worked for Zenith and she worked her way up to floor leader.

This is too long and short on details. I'll write a complete bio in my forum. Thank's <jessica> you can now call me the guest from hell!

<TD> I've known for a long time how well you know your scripture.

Man you have an interesting family history. It reminded me a bit of this gentleman, Nicolas Rossolimo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4b...

The documentary starts talking about his family history at 1:17 of the video.

Jul-08-17  Boomie: <technical draw> You mentioned that your Mother was from Morocco. Was her family part of the Sephardim that went to North Africa? The Ottomans sending their navy to safely escort Jews to Turkey is one of the more amazing chapters of that sad story.
Jul-08-17  technical draw: <Boomie> Thank you for your interest in Moroccan Jewish history. My mother, of course, has no recollection of life there as she left too young. The Sephardim mostly are descendants of the Spanish Jews who escaped Spain during the inquisition. French was the lingua franca but Jews spoke a form of Spanish called Ladino (much like the Ashkenazi's Yiddish)

The family name was Abitbol but was later changed in Cuba to a more Spanish sounding name. (we're talking the 1930's here folks and the guy with the mustache was to be feared).

Jul-08-17  thegoodanarchist: Jess, sorry- I forgot to complain the other day that Trump isn't bringing back Scriviner jobs
Jul-08-17  Boomie: <technical draw>

Looking for the history of the Abitbol name, I found this scholar who may be related. At least he may know your family history.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miche...

Jul-08-17  technical draw: <Boomie> . Good detective work, However I am familiar with prof. Abitbol's work. He is not, however, family. He is only 6 years older than me. A lot of Abitbols who made aliyah to Israel changed their name to Avital.

Changing Jewish names is a tradition going back to Abraham. (Of course God started it but soon everyone was changing their names!)

Sir, you seem way too blase these days, about the depression in the Scriviner industry these days.

Shall we not retrain them in the making of buggy whips these days? We need sober analysis these days!

Jul-12-17  Travis Bickle: Hey Jess, here's some neat stuff on Brian Wilson & Paul McCartney. As you probably know, The Beatles Rubber Soul inspired Brian Wilson to out do The Beatles musically, thus Pet Sounds.. Then when The Beatles heard Pet Sounds they wanted to out do The Beach Boys & Sgt Pepper followed..

Here's some clips of Paul & Brian Wilson..

My good <The Good Anteater> well I couldn't help it because after my fingers typed "The Good Anteater" without letting my brain know about it, I couldn't stop giggling.

It was certainly kind of <The Good Shark> to lay on that feast for you as well eh? Maybe he saw the recipe you posted earlier. I wonder where he got all those ants.

Also I thought about you today because I watched a documentary about <The World's Largest Machine> and could you guess it's the <United States power grid>. They cross cut to a scriviner in the next scene to emphasize how we all take electricity for granted.

If the <US power grid> ever goes down we could retrain even more folks to make bug whips! I suppose anteaters know about bug whips, so you could probably get a job in management.

Good thinking!

<Big> heh...

This: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paG...

It took me a good while to get over his shirtless physique. At first I thought you had pranked me, until I started to actually hear the jokes.

That guy is pretty smart- the comic scenario he lays down about Language Professors keeping students to meet the quota is well founded in reality. That's a daily occurrence in my department. I'm surprised the whole college hasn't gone down in flames yet, given how often they cook the books around here.

It's a private college, which in Korea means it's once step up (or even down) from a carny hustle.

Jul-13-17  crawfb5: He has some good bits you can find on YouScrewed -- knock and scratch, skydiving with Rachel Ray, wrestling a bear, etc.

I don't know why he did that special shirtless, but at this point in life I rarely ask why about much of anything.

<Big> Possibly he had just been wrestling a bear before the taping of that performance?

This could explain the lack of shirt.
