<krmr> Merci, mon ami- that's not the first time you've linked the <goodnesstv> site, which I also recommend highly.

It presents intelligent news, optimistic but not saccharine. The stories also don't have any ideological axe to grind, which is refreshing, to say the very least in these uncivil times of ours.

Here is my favorite Leonard Cohen lyric, from his song "Suzanne":

"He sank beneath your wisdom, like a stone."

I didn't get where I am today by hiding salami.

Also, the palindrome of "Bolton" would be "Notlob."

OhioChessFan: Yes, but it only works on the desktop version. Things appear normal on mobile devices. Mobile monkeys are apparently normal.

<Desktop Ohio> I finally broke down and got one of these newfangled "smart" phones. Ironically, I'm not smart enough to use it properly.

Do you think I should let them put a computer chip in my brain so I can understand my own phone amirite.

You have read Neuromancer, I trust? I've gone full Monty on cyberpunk, even playing the DOS game incessantly.

When Neuromancer was published in ironically 1984, SF fiction was considered dead. This book resurrected the genre and added numerous ideas and terms to fuel the rebirth.
