I never once heard a <Blur> record before.

Pleasant Indy 500 effort, but not compelling is what I say after a first listen.

I liked the bald headed bastard in the video though. Very cool guy.

<The Humorous Anteater>

It's not my fault Bill didn't know how to spell his own name. It's as if he were totally ignorant of the relevant fishing nomenclature.

You'd never run in to this problem with Canada's greatest export, <Bill Shatner>.

Dammit Bill, I'm a fisherman, not a sanitary napkin!

Jul-05-19  Deus Ex Alekhina: Hi Jessica. I seem to remember either you or maybe Batgirl posted a link some time ago which had rare footage of Alexander Alekhine playing chess, do you have that link by any chance? Thanks.

<Deux ex machina>

These various uploads all feature newsreel footage from "polygoon" which retains copyright on them. I posted all the ones I could find at the moment- some are the same as the others, but have varying video quality.

I have many polygoon chess newsreels on my computer, but the last time I tried to upload any of them on youtube they kept giving me a copyright flag, so I stopped trying.

  jessicafischerqueen:

The "Pathe" newsreels also have some live film of Alekhine. You can actually find many historical live chess video snippets here, and watch them on the Pathe website.

On search query "Alekhine" in the Pathe box, three newsreels come up for Alekine, for example:
