<Matt> This sounds almost exactly like one of those VIZ Magazine "letters to the editor" or "top tips":

<David in Orpinton, Kent writes: I live near Pratts Bottom. I notice that the small green signs indicating the name of this village have recently vanished, which is rather a shame, since it would be nice for travellers to know when they enter and exit Pratts Bottom...>

Real VIZ Magazine "top tip" from memory:

<Hang an empty cereal packet from the lintel of each doorway in your house. Then you can tell when you are exiting one room and entering another>

Nov-30-19  mckmac: <Jess> VIZ Magazine is new to me and it's a whole barrel of fun. Thanks for the tip!

I had to GOOGLE Hee Haw, but I'm glad I did. Looks like it was a great show amirite.

Reminded me of an idea "I" had for a show based on a line from South Park:

CAN WE PUT A MONKEY IN IT

So far "I" have only "developed" the title.

You see it's a show title but also a question. A question that could be asked in a very wide array of circumstance.

<Pay My Dragon>

Well I watched many games and what a strange spell its been.

<Spurs> win three on the trot under new gaffer and beloved Latin folk artist <Jose Feliciano> whilst still conceding over 10 goals a match.

<Ole Gunner Solzhenitsen> avoids the Gulag for now, but still fields the United under-12 squad in their Euro fixture. A bright spot that temporary captain and kindergarten substitute teacher <Jesse Linseed Oil> finally scored. Otherwise a truly bizarre match.

<Gunners> nut sack gaffer <Unai Emerson Lake and Palmer> after the debacle in the last <Gastrointestinal Tract Frankfart> tie, but not all hope is lost. Far from it with such young talent on tap as <Bukayo Nutsaka> and <Joe "Great" Pillock>. And that's not even counting <President Obamayang> and <Alexandre Evening Gazette>.

Match of the week for me was <Saints v Gunners> what a ripping game, plenty of intensity and end to end pelting. How can <Saints> literally never win when they have such talented players? Man of the match was <Nathan Red Indian>, closely followed by <Danny Thing> and <James Ward-Scouser>.

Dec-03-19  Paint My Dragon: <Queen of the Fishes>

Speaking of humorous places: when I worked in Gateshead, there were in close proximity two Lanes called <Knobby Ends> and <Fannybush> - as you can imagine, this was the cause of some local merriment. Sadly, the latter has since been renamed.

Newcastle's best effort is a suburb with the slightly angry and disturbing name, <Spittal Tongues>.

<Ole Gunner Solzhenitsin> avoiding the Gulag ‘for now’ is about right. Apparently, he’s still enjoying some popularity at Old Trafford, if his unwavering, contented smile can be trusted. His under-12 squad “are closer to winning than losing” he explains, so we can assume his unshakable faith in the <Pied Piper School of Coaching> is absolute. Maybe he’s seen something in them, or maybe he’s seen one <Busby Babes> documentary too many.

You have to wonder what the effect is on the senior personnel. Will they stay motivated while he paves the way for a <rugrat revolution>? Or is Ole already loosening the rivets on the next aeroplane that carries them overseas? We shall see.

I’m not completely ruling out a Jose-Poch club switcheroo though. Poch was a gamble United nearly took years ago, so if he’s still available after the Xmas onslaught and Ole racks up some more indifferent performances …

Would Poch consider the Arsenal job? The Spurs fans would probably hate him if he jumped that way.

Yes, the <Harry Hotspurs> are doing well now and <Dele Catessen>’s form is resurgent. I’m sure <MoreVino> always gives a team an initial boost and the fixtures might have fallen kindly too. But you never know … it’s a classy squad and he has a habit of winning trophies, even while stirring up a bongcloud of controversy and bad attitude’.

No breathers this week with a full Prem programme Tues-Thurs, then another at the weekend.

lol <Harry Hotspurs> KING HENRY IV PART DEUX amirite.

It would be very exciting if <A Poncho on a Latino> would gaff ManU.

Swapping managers mid season exciting Premier Plague action.

<Top Gunner> will only be able to trade so long on his nice guy routine. If he lasts for the season, and I doubt he will, he will not be returning next season. You heard it here first! Even though 99.9 repeater % of footy fans probably think the same.

Intriguing. Have you looked at the other end of <Knobby End> to see if it's <Knob End>? Kind of like the "darker" side of town, if you catch my drift...

Dec-04-19  Paint My Dragon: <White Harted Queen>

<Harry Hotspur> Yes, a local historical figure. He has a statue somewhere near Alnwick Castle, not far from here. I think he was a knight who in true Blackadder fashion had his block chopped off for, err … being on the wrong side, or something. Probably spilled someone’s pint on a rowdy evening down <Knob End>.

I just watched the final part of the BBC’s recent adaptation of <War of the Worlds>. It was complete garbage, and seemingly has taken a kicking on IMDb. Rightly so. One of the major problems? You’ve guessed it – way too many SJ messages. The original story barely had room to breathe while the (not very well written) dialogue was consumed with the plight of a strong woman … abuse of women … helping the immigrants … anti-colonialism etc. etc. Meanwhile, the interaction between humans and aliens, and any semblance of tension, was shamefully neglected. With a colossal 4 hours available, this could have been the adaptation that most people have been waiting for. As it was, I’d have to say that the Tom Cruise film was a lot better. What a wasted opportunity. I have to feel sorry for Robert Carlyle too – he is normally a quality actor but certainly didn’t shine here.

<Partition My Dragoons>

Well yes the problem is that "art" in the service of political agenda isn't art, and what's more it is almost certainly guaranteed to be rubbish, and something much, much darker than that as well.

Socialist realism and Fascist monumentalism amply attest to this, but SJWs don't read Western history because all of it was written by older white Christian men who are responsible for all of the imagined social ills of humanity, or more properly LGBQXYZANNITY. Not <Sean Hannity> though he's worse than all of them because he refuses to stop being a conservative.

Self-imposed constraints on artistic creation or criticism were anathema to <Oscar Wilde>, who would score reasonably high points on the heinous "intersectional hierarchy" due to being gay. He would get a few bonus points for being gay in an era when you could still go to prison for it. And of course he did, as did <Alan Turing>, which is monumentally despicable. But it's no reason to erect another, bigger totalitarian socialist state. Biting off your nose to spite your face doesn't even begin to address the lunacy in that notion.

Wilde would still score beneath

1. Transexuals

2. Anyone of color

3. women

He can't rise up higher on that most pernicious, and racist scale because he was a white man. He would get a few more bonus points for not being a Christian though.

I'll take <Oscar> over any political ideologue or "woke" "artist" in a heartbeat.

Ironically, his iconoclastic opinions on art, critics, race, society and history will guarantee that his brilliant "Intentions," a once popular/notorious collection of his essays, will soon be "burned" or rather removed from the Liberry and bookstores, which is the current SJW version of burning- they don't have the <Wan Nutsacka> to actually start burning books. Yet.

Luckily, for now you can still buy a copy of "Intentions" on HAMAZON for 13 dollars US funds: https://www.amazon.com/Intentions-P...

Possibly apocryphal, but much too good to give up:

<George Bernard Shaw> and <Oscar> at a soiree in the presence of the <Prince of Wales>, if I remember correctly. Or was it <The King>?.

<Shaw> makes a quip which has the <Prince> laughing.

<Oscar>: "I wish I'd said that...

<Shaw>: "You will, Oscar, you will..."

UPROARIOUS LAUGHTER.

Here is perhaps the finest treatment of that incident, created by a group of lads who are also in disfavor among the "woke," for obvious reasons:

Argg well the first mistake was cheering for my club instead of yours. If I'd cheered for the Reds then Spurs probably would have won 10-0.

<Rashers of Baconford> will deserve man of the match, but all game long <McTom in the Hay> stopped any kind of build up for Spurs, who had to rely on breaks and there were precious few of those. <McTom in the Box> even managed to make <Fred Flintstone> look good.

Four games under <Feliciano> and Spurs have conceded multiple goals, especially late goals just like before.

"Defence" was atrocious at the start, could easily have been 4-0 after 20 minutes.

The only bright spot apart from <Delicate Linen's> goal of the month was <Out of Gazzinga> proving he's a decent keeper.

<Slow Loris> back soon, a World Cup winning keeper but he keeps selling the farm at key moments in the club's history.

Anyways congratulations to <ManlyU> that was a fine game your lads played. Finer than it needed to be, in fact.

<Reminded me of an idea "I" had for a show based on a line from South Park:

This reminded me of David Letterman. In one of his older shows, maybe when he was still at NBC, he had a "monkeycam".

The concept is that someone strapped a small portable camera on the monkey's head. Then the poor thing was released into the studio, which was filled with bright lights and lots of people in the audience.

The monkey freaked out and started running, climbing and jumping everywhere, and we got to see the world from the monkey's POV via the camera.

At the time I thought it was hilarious, but now I realize that the monkey was under considerable stress, which probably shortened its life by some amount.

Dec-05-19  Paint My Dragon: <Queen of the Broken Harted>

Well, I’d have to say that was <Trashford>’s best game ever. And better still, the MOTD pundits (and maybe <Ole Gonna SoulSearchYa> himself) are finally acknowledging that he and <Anthony Marsupial> are too similar in their style and positioning to share the same pitch. How long have I been saying that?

So a week of crying for you eh? Well you won’t find me crowing too much over one good result. Not until I can say that it wasn’t a fluke with some degree of certainty (might never happen). For every one of those performances there usually follows two games of utter dross, and I’ll be amazed if we don’t get hammered by ManC at the weekend.

I can’t stand <Sean Hannity> and his disgraced mate <Bill Reilly>. Russell Brand used to take the mickey out of them mercilessly back in his ‘let’s pillory FOX’ days.

And I’ve only now realized that Hannity is (almost) the man who took the ‘human’ out of ‘humanity’. Or have I stolen that observation from Wilde?

<Your majesty is like a stream of bat’s p*ss> is one of the funniest Python sketches. We used to recite this ad nauseam on our way to school. For some reason, I always wanted to call it the Philosopher’s sketch, but that of course was ‘something completely different’, as Terry Gilliam would say …

A brief appearance from <parisattack> in the picture gallery there!

Totally unrelated, but it popped up as a suggestion in the margin and I couldn’t resist watching …

I still find <Victor Borge> funny after all these years. I can remember my parents howling at his dry comedy quips when I was knee high to a grasshopper, and his material remains unique long after his passing.

<Pygmalion>

Well United handled Spurs and that's exactly the right word for it.

Absent one (1) flash of brilliancy from <Cantor's Traditional Jewish Delicatessan> (10/10), Spurs were helpless.

<Manchester Excited> are exciting when they actually get excited, which happened yesterday no doubt about it.

But long term, nothing is going to help Excited or Spurs until they solve long-term structural problems.

<Spurs> need a new talent scout pronto.

79 million pounds for <N'Bobbles the Ball Away Constantly>?

We can't afford another 5 years to see if he will turn out to be a <Genna Sosonko>.

He's one of the best on the squad now, but it took him 5 years to stop being a pampered, lazy, lead-footed French international who spent all of his English money on champagne baths instead of on instructional videos on how to play in the Premier League where the lads don't swan aboot in Berets and smoke Gauloises on the pitch.

I'm not waiting 5 more years for <N'Bobbles the Ball Away> to turn from Frog to Prince.

<Excited> need Robbo or a facsimile and they should throw the money into anyone's face who will supply him. 500 million pounds if necessary.

<McTomlinson> had a great game I watched the whole match and he bossed the midfield. It is a miracle of both science and theosophical clap trap to make <Fred Flintstone> look good because he is a crappy midfielder end of story. If they tie a rubber band around him and put the rubber band around <McTommy can you Hear me> he MIGHT be serviceable until they can get a real midfielder.

Also <Spurs> need to start <Hans Christian Anderson> every game or bench him. I hope <Jose Feliciano> can figure this out on his own. I don't want to have to start emailing him every day like before eh.

lol <Russel Brand> shoot me but I like him. He was great with <Jordan Peterson>: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kL6...

A debate with two winners!

That never happens in the <Premier Plague>.

Oh forgot to mention earlier congratulations! Enigmatic Finnish striker <Pikkachu> finally broke his drought and added a point to your <Erotic Fantasy Footy Team>, if I have my maths correct...

Dec-05-19  Paint My Dragon: It’s truly amazing that <Sosonko> is getting such positive reviews … and consistently so. At Newcastle he always looked incredibly fast and busy, but with absolutely no end-product. A backwards or sideways pass was all you could expect, but maybe that says more about Newcastle’s poor movement up front, than Sosonko being out of ideas.

I agree. <McTom in the Hay> was a large, controlling presence. We really missed him in the last few games when he was injured.

Yeah, <Ndongle> seems to have tailed off after his exciting start. It’s perhaps not going to happen for him at the moment. If I was Mourinho though, I would be focussing on that midfield, primarily to get <Eriksson Mobile> recharged and make sure that <Delicate Alibi>’s new unshackled, wander about the park role can work with the others filling gaps, sharing responsibilities etc. <Flintstone> is deffo the ManU weakie right now, but they gave him a free ride and that doesn’t bode well. I doubt that Mourinho can influence the defence too much – <Vertical Tong Man> and <Altered Wheel Weld> have played together for a lifetime, so coaching is not going to help. They will lift their game as and when the confidence floods back. But the midfield might be key here too. Is there enough cover for the centre backs? Those guys are both over 30 now and tall, lumbering giants, so they may need a more mobile defensive midfielder or sweeper to add extra support. Alternatively, the wing backs may need to push in more to close the gaps. No easy solutions, but <Trashford> was getting a lot of space to get shots away.

I think Paris uses a cropped version of Rene Descartes.

The <Germany-Greece> footy match is another gem from the Python team. Where did they get the inspiration for such clever, yet wacky and surreal humour? Nothing like that had ever been done before.

Another, less revered comedy classic is the Two Ronnies <F.U.N.E.X.> sketch. Everyone quotes the ‘Four Candles’ sketch, but this one has some fiendishly clever word play as well …

JINX! I literally just woke up thinking aboot <Russ Brand> eh?

I always liked him, but after re-watching the <Brand "vs" Peterson> "debate" I happened to see that <Russ Brand X from Outer Space> also interviewed <The Jordan River is Very Wide> a scant two months later.

What a difference! I was wondering why <Russ> had abandoned his free wheeling, New Agey stream of consciousness style with his hands doing much of the talking.

At first I thought it was because the venue was a studio in <London> with gigantic microphones stuck in the faces of <Russ n' Jordan>. Imagine my surprise to find a surely more likely reason for <Russ's> more button downed approach this go-round.

<Jordan's> wife was sat off camera just a few feet away from him. Heh...

It's still a great interview, though less spiritually compelling due to <Russ> buttoning down: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLF...

A must see if you haven't yet.

Jordan: "It's good to see you too, it's nice to meet in London"

I always liked <Professor Brian Cox Crow> as well. I think we agreed on that some time ago, if I remember correctly. Probably more than once.

I haven't seen him under <The Brand> yet though, so I can't thank you enough for the heads up.

What a couple of mensches eh?

Also last night I realized I was confusing <Sean Hannity> with <Tucker "Magnus" Carlsen>

I'd not seen <Hannity> before. I don't like him either, though I only "watched" for a few seconds. I didn't like his face. If there's no sense of humor I don't stay. At least <Friar Tucker> can deliver a humorous lecture.

Well I just finished watching <Frank v Hammers> November 30 match and I enjoyed that start to finish.

Trouble with watching back issues and being terrified of spoilers is that all my "news" is old. It looks as though gaffer <Manuel Pollo Peligroso> will keep his job?

Hammers man of the match goes to <Aaron Cress Well, you could hardly deny him> for that nifty winning goal. I place <Declan Rice Krispys> second. Isn't he English? Shouldn't he be on the squad? Maybe he is already and I forgot.

<Generalissimo Francisco Lampardo> took it like a man. It's not that <Chelsea> played so poorly. The <Hammers> would not be denied.

In the dying moments <Onward Christian Soldiers Pulisic> and <When the Moon Hitta you Eye like a big Pizza Pie, that's Fikayo Tomorrrrrra> had big chances, but were denied by <David Martin> who went on to begin flopping on the floor like a seal in order to waste time.

When the final whistle blew, <Martin> took that as a cue to return to flopping on the floor, in a comical bid to assure everyone he wasn't faking. I hope he's not actually hurt. My copy of the game ended before I could find out. Naturally I can't look at the Footy news- ever- so I will never know unless the "news" crops up during another match a month from now or something.

Dec-07-19  Paint My Dragon: <Fiscal Queen>

I do half-remember that West Ham game. It was a great moment for the flying <David House Martin>, being the son of Hammers legend <Alvin Lee Martin>, and the grandson of Hollywood legend <Dean Rat-Pack Martin>. Okay, one of those may be a ‘fake’ fact.

No, he wasn’t badly injured – he may even have played again in a time period I’m loosely calling ‘my past’ and ‘your future’. Super story though, to make his Hammers debut at 33 and contribute to a fine win. His Dad will be proud.

By the way, in my version of events, his Dad, <Alvin Lee Martin> is one third West Ham centre back, one third ManU wing-back and one third legendary rock guitarist. However, documentary evidence of this proved impossible to find on YouTube.

Yes, <Declan Rice Crispies> is already an England team player, and probably the very man that <Tooting Ham> needs to play in front of their back four. Start a <crowd funding> appeal now, and you will be able to secure him for <Jose> well before <Voyager> reaches the <heliopause>. LOL. Hopefully, you don’t know when that will be. I only know because <Carl Sagan> told me.

I will definitely watch both of those <Tony Peterson> ‘Under The Skin’ appearances again. They’re quite time consuming and you have to have your ‘right head on’, but that’s no reason to be discouraged. My brain needs to be challenged on a daily basis, or it will one-day-soon shrink to the size of a walnut.
