 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Jack Bauer> long time no see! Interesting theory, but this fellow is bona fide: <data> He's that whiny little guy on <The Betrayal of the Original Star Trek: the Next Generation> meant to be a "Spock" replacement. Silly producers. Nobody could replace Spock.

Jul-25-11 | | WBP: Hi, <Jess> Been away for a while (let my membership lapse). But I have just renewed for a two-year preemie (sp?). Not sure how often I'll get on, but you guys--you, <Dom>, <Eyal>, <Niels>, <Deffi>, and so many more are always in my heart! But I see that some troubling things have happened here of late, concerning <Dom>, you, and others. I am very sorry for this. (And yes, I've a new avatar--couldn't find the Stoneman one, but I think that this one does a fairly good job of capturing my inner peace.)
Watching these two tournys with great interest.
Have you seen Finding Bigfoot? I think the four-man crew's hilarious! (Moneymaker's, of course, the guy behind www.BFRO.net.)

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Bill> great to hear from you- why not open your forum man? I hope you can come by more often. Thanks for concern, but nothing bad happened to me personally. I've nothing to complain about with regards to the website. I'm quite sad that the evidence for Bigfoot seems to be stuck- the Patterson film a hoax. Sadly, <I don't actually make any Moneymaker>'s new video series is just embarrassing. The lack of any new actual experts- people like <Jeff, Grover, and Jane Goodall> who take any of the existing evidence seriously- is really damaging to the "rep" of Bigfoot hunting in general. That said, I'll never stop looking for Sasquatch.
I didn't get where I am today by giving up on finding Sasquatches. <Bill> seriously I really miss you and I often think of you especially when I'm at the website. Which is pretty much all the time.

Interview conducted by <National Master William Student>. Great interview- good questions by <NM Stewart> and interesting opinions by <Giri> on how he got where he is today, engine use, cheating, future of chess. Here is <NM Stewart's> youtube chess channel, also highly recommended: http://www.youtube.com/user/OnlineC... |

Jul-26-11 | | WBP: <Jess> Thanks for the note. I forgot I have to open my own forum (not done automatically), though I may go homeless for a while. More fun to live in other people's places, sully their sheets, dirty their towels, eat their chow, and then leave the mess behind to move onto someone else's abode! I've mixed feelings about Moneymaker and the series. I love Bobo! Dammit, he is bigfoot. On a serious note, it is fun to watch people in the act of actually trying to find the thing, no matter how inconclusive things turn up. Also, as you may know, Moneyman is a very polarizing figure. They've given him and the show a rough ride on cryptomundo.com, and his defiant posts in respons--full of insults and personal attacks--would fit in well on any number of forums here on chessgames. Also, the jury's still out with me on the P-G film. I know the so-called "Hollywood Connection" (Jon Landis, John Chambers, et al,) has been discredited (Chambers denying the whole thing, or at least that's where I'd heard things to stand. The film itself fascinates me in a way such that, even if they find bf, I would still want to pursue the film for its authenticity or lack-of therein. In a po-mo way, it's become a major cultural iconic phenomenon, blending myth, media, speculation, and science; kinda bigger than bf, in a way :-) But enough of this! Bring on the chess! Watching these two tournys with great interest! Hope you're well! |
