 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Tim> I simply can't grow tired of Godfather Parts One and Two. I think I know every single word of the screenplay by heart. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Perfidious> Thanks for that timely reminder- a great song, from the second Post-Pete record, with Steve Hackett on his way out. <Tony Banks> dominates this one with his synthesizer and he also dominated on the whole record on songwriting duties. I love Tony Banks think he's a genius so you won't hear me complaining about that. Thanks mate- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woot... "Wot Gorilla"? |

 | | perfidious: <jess> That was Hackett's last studio album; in the late 1970s, I had a friend who was into everything Genesis did, so I heard it all. Most of it passed me by, but this one stuck. One of my favourite moments from Godfather, which always makes me laugh:

You and <boomie> will, of course, remember Sofia Coppola from III. She's actually had a good career on the other side of the camera. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: lol you can act like a man.
Great choice, and good advice for many at this website. I bet people would be on better behavior if <Don Vito> was looking after the neighborhood. Yes Steve left, and the bad blood between him and Tony-Phil remains to this day. I saw an interview with Phil Collins on youtube where he tells the guy "I ran in to Peter and ran over Steve." Tony Banks also joked to the press about Steve leaving, and when asked "what about the tracks he's laid down for the upcoming record" Tony said "No problem, we can just erase them." Steve tours solo or with his mates to this day, he's constantly on the road, lives to perform. Massively underrated in my view. |

Sep-15-11 | | hms123: <jess> What movie were you thinking of? |
Sep-15-11
 | | jessicafischerqueen: I'm embarrassed to say it was the first <Austin Powers> film. However, I had indeed seen the bona fide article, excellent thriller. The director would serve no film before its time. |
Sep-15-11 | | hms123: <jess> I had two advantages: I own the Criterion Collection version, and I have never seen an Austin Powers movie. The weird camera angles in the real film are always what I think of first. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: Yes which go well with the black and white film and the manipulation of shadow and light. Orville Reddenbacher loved the German Expressionist films, as you probably know. Also, with a name like that, you just knew he was going to be involved somehow in movie theatres. |

Sep-15-11 | | playground player: <Travis Bickle> Everybody knows "Harry Lime" is the villain in the classic film, "The Third Man." One of my favorites! Orson Wells plays Lime, opposite Trevor Howard as the military cop trying to take him down, and Joseph Cotten as the patsy caught in the middle. Also starring the dreary, creepy ambience of post-war Vienna... |
Sep-15-11 | | Travis Bickle: Jess Email on the way. |
Sep-15-11 | | Boomie: <perfidious: You and <boomie> will, of course, remember Sofia Coppola from III. She's actually had a good career on the other side of the camera.> She also played a pivotal role in Dogbother I. She was Connie's baby in the crucial baptism/hit scene. Her restrained performance wowed the critics. |

Sep-15-11 | | ProjectR: Jess...i apologise..Email on its way in 10 mins,im just rushing about like a.....mad rushing stressed out lunatic !!!! (or maybe just a lunatic ;-)) Note to self: mark you are not <once> give it a rest, you'll look stupid,do not pursue things that dont concern you lol |
Sep-16-11 | | Shams: Jessica, your video on Rubinstein and Polish chess is very good. Is that still your boyfriend doing the narration? |
Sep-16-11 | | Boomie: Burnaby, BC. The Havana of the North. |
Sep-16-11
 | | jessicafischerqueen: <ProjectR> No need to apologize man. I'll be deleting any mention, no matter how vague, to past current and future flame wars from my forum. I agree with <Ohio> that it's gone on and on and on and on and it sickens me. Anyways, all the best. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Time Machine> I hope you're not under the impression I live in Burnaby. Nobody ever goes to Burnaby unless they are forced to. It's living proof that not all Yuppies have good taste. I prefer New Westminister, at least there are still people who smoke and throw beer bottles around in their back yard there. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Shams> thanks for encouragement- yes indeed that was my man "King Richard" as he likes to think of himself. He has narrated two documentaries so far and he's recorded the script for a third, "Rashid Nezhmetdinov" but I'm still editing that film. |
Sep-16-11 | | Boomie: <jessicafischerqueen: <Time Machine> I hope you're not under the impression I live in Burnaby.
Nobody ever goes to Burnaby unless they are forced to.> Well, Bob Zuk comes from Burnaby. So there! |

Sep-16-11 | | Travis Bickle: Jess you've been working to hard, stop what you're doing and listen to this. It will invigorate you! ; P http://youtu.be/_mVW8tgGY_w

Sep-16-11 | | Travis Bickle: Jess I just sent another EMU. |
Sep-16-11 | | Shams: Well, <King Richard> acquits himself pretty well. I don't know if he's had any training or if he's an autodidact with a skill for mimicry but he's really pretty good at it. I'm impressed; I checked out a couple of your videos back in the day, pre-narration; but the current format really makes everything come alive. Count me as a new subscriber. I really have to stop with the youtube and the chess, it's getting ridiculous. |
Sep-16-11
 | | jessicafischerqueen: He has no training in speaking, but speaks as often as possible. He's not an automobile either. |
Sep-16-11
 | | jessicafischerqueen: Thanks <T-Dawg> it certainly is Beethoven invigorating! |
