If I were with you, I'd probably seize every opportunity also. ;)

Sep-16-11  Shams: Oh man, I crack myself up. I'm wiping my eye over here.

  jessicafischerqueen: My dear <Shams>

"seize any opportunity" heh

That's very funny, not to mention accurate.

However, your post after that was entirely inappropriate. So I deleted it.

Once again, <dak> has a post left hanging without context.

<dak> this happens to you a lot I've noticed, and since you are making your posts after the comments, obviously, it can't have anything to do with you.

It's pretty funny though.

If you want, I'll delete your post as well, but only if you request.

And your point is ?! lol ... Who or what is 'Travis Bickle' ? lol

I won't post on these pages again. lol

That was some pretty PG stuff, Jess, but I'll make a note of your preferred content levels.

jessicafischerqueen: <Harry> are you drunk? You are welcome here at all times as usual, and I'd wager you are welcome at <T-Dawg's> house too.

Protip- complaining about "not being wanted" when in fact you are "wanted" is a little silly.

I'm behind on all youtube correspondence, my good <Fab>, sorry about that.

I have almost no time these days.

Sep-16-11  ProjectR: Hey jess..just letting you know that im outta here for the time being...just have a few more posts to make,il explain all in an email..

Sep-17-11  dakgootje: <Once again, <dak> has a post left hanging without context.>

Context is overrated.

<If you want, I'll delete your post as well, but only if you request>

Oddly enough, it's even for me ;)

I hardly ever assume my postings should be preserved for future generation, nor that someone will be mad enough to read back 900 pages. High-quality as they may be.

That said, I personally would not delete it - but that is merely due to my habit of not deleting any posts unless <really quite> necessary - something which has not occurred yet.

I love the combination of really and quite. It is really quite nonsensical.

In unrelated topics, why do you get an extra r in occur<r>ed, while not an extra l in cancel<>ed?

Sep-17-11  Boomie: <dak: In unrelated topics, why do you get an extra r in occur<r>ed, while not an extra l in cancel<>ed?>

Because there was "L" to pay.

I don't know if the Brits talk like this in real life, but in movies and novels I always appreciated phrases like "This is really quite intolerable".

  kingscrusher: Hi Jessica

Have you checked out the new Youtube Cosmic panda views of Playlists?!

If you visit:

www.youtube.com/cosmicpanda

You can switch in and out of cosmic panda mode. The playlists view seems really cool, especially for your channel as you have done so many.

I have a video about it here:

jessicafischerqueen: <Ohio> in that British idiom vein, how do you feel about

"What a simply ghastly place."

It's best said when you've just come through the door at a party you're not really invited to.

Sep-17-11  dakgootje: <I don't know if the Brits talk like this in real life>

It would be marvelous wouldn't it :D

Similar to those lovely small <, wouldn't it?>-particles at the end of sentences.

"You haven't done the dishes, have you?"

When I was about 12 we had just learned those particles in school - and some young British person came to visit. Don't really know why. But it seemed good fun to learn all the knowledge we had, so we went along with it. And we had just learned those little fairly superfluous sentences [hadn't we] - so we used those whenever possible. And probably when they were not possible.

Afterwards she was <amazed> at our level of English. Ah, good times..

You you hadn't!

I didn't get where I am today, an English teacher, by understanding English grammar.
