Today, starting as early as 10 o´clock, there is my favourite, as you know : A big classic bicycelrace : Flandern. I am really looking forward to see it.."Free tickets" in my big black chair and bets are made at the bookies. Around 17 we have the winner, so it is a long story,compareable to a good game of chess ;)

I struggel with some extra dizyness, but hope it will go back to normal, as it usually does.

I've been looking a bit to the Norway-Ukraine match, only that I don't see Chucky or Carlsen on video. It's been mostly usual times here, nothing much to mention. Tomorrow we're heading to Onesti/Pancesti for the first time in a long time. Maria is eager to see her sister again. We'll probably have some alternating thunderstorms on the way on the countryside, and if so well skip Pancesti and return straight to Iasi.

How are you? How was the Flandern bicycle race? What about the dizziness issue - did it go away? If I remember well, the doctor didn't find its cause as yet? Hopefully it's not bothering you much though.

The war in Ukraine is still going on, Mariupol is already a martir city - but what a proof of bravery the Ukrainians soldiers have been showing!...Two months.

And now it is my turn for being sorry in that late response. But there has been some colon issues which have drained some of my otherwise fine energy. But fortunately now things are going in a better direction and it is blooming springtime inside, as well as outside.

My sister was here a fortnight ago in 3 consecutive days and it was great to see her again. Especially it was a true delight to realize, how fine she and Hannah get along ! Like two sisters who have known each other a full lifetime.

Personally I am enjoying the springtime (though I prefer autum and winter, as you know ;) and life in general. Was e.g. for the first time in half a year with my friend Jan in town (Aarhus) 10 days ago. So great to be in his company again. Not to mention the first pint(s) for ages ;) Great taste ....

I dont follow chess that much these days. It all occur a bit repetetive to me, but hopefully the appetite will come back...

But cycling is still cloe to my heart and I enjoy it immensely. And my wallet too ;)

I've been following the Superbet sponsored tournements, especially the one in Bucharest, where Bogdan Daniel Deac had a very good performance in the company of much higher rated opposition. This guy should be soon over 2700.

I can't say I'm satisfied with my chess performance in the past two weeks or so, only one win and one draw, all the other games lost and I will not say how many - a lot :) I dont remember the last time such a bad series occured. But I've got a feeling that things will be under control again, soon.

Maria was for two days to see her sister in Onesti, and I'm going to wait for her this afternoon at the bus station. They are quite close to each other, and now that the pandemy is almost over (or at least no more requirements for mask wearing etc.), she also goes by public transportation. Last week she took the train to Bucharest for a few days too.

Sorry, once again for beeing so late, but I have been occupied being preparing for an examination of my colon. But now it is over and all went well. It is some kind of inflamation which may be cureable with some pills. We shall see, but the doctor was almost certain, it can be cured in first take ! So talk about a relived little me....;)

Tonight Klaus is comming for football (France Pris) together with Hannah and I, so we are looking forward to good company and a pandemic, which is almost gone. Quite unbelievable in my mind.

Otherwise I am enjoying the early summer, though autum and winters are my favourites, as you know. Hannah isstill very content with her relatively new job at the university, while she is busy helping the students through their exams.
