"Play the board AND the man ! ".
But mostly the board.
Was born in Elsinore,Denmark,1953.And I am still proud of it.As I hope everyone is proud of hers/his startingpoint.

In many aspects life and chess do mirror each other IM experience. As science and belief goes hand in hand.So many "rules of thumbs" and many "exceptions" from the rule. I do agree with Bent Larsen who once said that someone who cannot contain a paradoxe is not using the full capacity of his brain.Actually I am convinced that there are no parodoxes, but perspectives which are more bright or flexible than others...

Though some obviously are borned under more easygoing circumstances than others,I will second our esteemed fellowkibitzer <zarg> who underlines that "luck" is also somehing that we create ourselves. Ourselves, but also together IM experience.
I try to live my life as if Jesus or Buddha knocked on the door , I would wellcome them as friends . And if they didn´t show up, it would be fine anyway.

moronovich: Thank you very much, dear <virginmind> ! They/we finally made it. Despite 3 of our best defenders were injuried. But the whole team and our wonderful coach somehow found the resources, also helped by our unique audience without whom they wouldn´t have made it. To a great ...

Nov-04-23  virginmind: That's very nice of you, <moronovich>, and of course I'll root for him too. I think it's the first time Deac plays against Vidit. They both got a chance for a great finish in this tournament, let's see how this will look like.

Thanks, and Hoka Hey!

Nov-05-23  virginmind: Not much to comment after yesterday's game. Deac did well overall in this tournament. I hope we will have a rest of weekend just fine. Hugs.

moronovich: But a fine game with a lot of play. But I guess Deac missed the wondershot- Bxe4!!. Still a lot of play in the position left, but perhaps Vidits wider experience told in the end ?

Anyway : Heres to a fine sunday ! Cheers.

Nov-05-23  virginmind: I should think so, yeah, otherwise he wouldn't have agreed ending up a pawn down :) Anyway, in this Canal Attack he mostly defended for the whole game.

Cheers.

Nov-12-23  virginmind: Today Romania plays against Denmark at the ETCC in Budva! Let's cheer they will both win!

  moronovich: Thank you, <whiteshark> !

I have played through it. And it seems to me that Mamedyarov overlooked that white surprisingly can not take on g6.

All the best

  moronovich: Morning, Sir !

And another fine result. This time against Poland. Congrats to you ! You are now in the leading pack.

Nov-18-23  virginmind: Thank you my dear, and a good result for your team too, yesterday! Denmark against Norway, now this will be a match to follow today :) Unfortunately we have some renovation works in progress in our apartment, so I may be a bit busy off chess, but I'll still keep an eye on the developments. There's also Romania - Israel in the football EC qualifiers tonight, but I don't know if I'll have time to watch it, maybe the first half. What I did follow though was the first part Denmark-Slovenia yesterday, and bravo for a fine 2-1!

Weather got suddenly harsh today in Iasi, some snow is expected. But we have a weekend ahead of us ;) Hugs.

moronovich: Morning my friend and thanks for dropping by !

Yes we did for the fourth time in a a row qualify for the european chaampionship next summer in Germany. A fine eveningg in Copenhagen.

But I didn´t know we were to face Carlsen and Co, so thanks for the info !

And I see your country is doing very well in chess, so a lot to cheer for today, nést pas !?

Here we finally have a stop in the everlasting rain and this feels good. Hopefully, the snow wont be too heavy on Iasi !?

Best wishes for yours and Marias weekend !

Hugs

Nov-19-23  virginmind: Well, some mixed results, we lost in chess but won in football, on a stadium of 3800 seats in a Hungarian village (Israel can't play at home). The snow only lasted for a few hours here. Enjoy the rest of the weekend, my friend.
Nov-20-23  virginmind: Before the last round, in both open and women segments in Budva, we're ranked 13th. Repairing works are still undergoing in our apartment. Wait, that's not correct - they're still going on.Temperatures between -2 and +2 Celsius, make for what should be a normal, but now compared with previous autumn months, chilly November here. I'm still to finish 2 papers for my job, in two weeks. And still no news from outer space.

Hugs.

Nov-20-23  virginmind: Lupulescu managed to bring one last victory for our team, so we're not that down in the final rankings...

  moronovich: Morning, my friend !

Yesterday was the day our footballteam lost to the "migthy" Northern Ireland and our chessteam did the same to Austria, finishing an awfull tournament way below the expectaitons ):

But kudos to your team, which performed very well !

And I hope temperatures will get better in Iasi and the repair work will finish in due time as well as the papers for work will do the same.

On a grey Novemberday I send you my best wishes for the day and all your endavours.

Hugs.

Nov-22-23  virginmind: Hello my dear, we finished 8th, not bad after all. And in football Romania beat Switzerland last night (I completely forgot about that match) so we're qualified from the first place in the group. Denmark did well overall, we're going to meet in Germany :

Hugs.

Nov-24-23  virginmind: The renovation works are finished today, and also the first part of my job requirements. Hoka hey!

  moronovich: Congrats dear <virginmind> !

This is good news. Hoka Hey, indeed.

And the best wishes from me and the danes and maybe see you at the grass turf next year ! That would be funny.

Hope you will enjoy your weekend, with greetings here from DK, were the snow is lurking at the horizon.

Nov-26-23  virginmind: Hey my dear, thank you and looking forward too. No dizziness whatsoever in the past weeks. Great winds and some snow starting this morning in Iasi, as apparently a cyclone is passing these two past days over south eastern Europe - 150 km/h wind guts in the Black Sea,just outside Odesa. Lost almost all chess games played in the past 2-3 days... Hugs.

moronovich: Good morning, my friend !

So glad to hear that you haven´t had dizziness for , at least, two weeks ! Bravo ! and please continue that way.

Here snow is all over the country and I love it, as you know. I was back the borned in a snowstorm ;)

And the fifth, I think, we shall meet your country in handball ! So fasten your seat belts ;) Perhaps I´ll cheer for both teams !?

Allt the best for the new weekend with many wishes for good times and good health !

Hugs to you and Maria.
