Of course I've enjoyed following Sinquefield and So loooks thoroughly deserving of his number one place finish. What I didn't enjoy was the disappointment I felt after finishing the (long) novel of Murakami I was last reading. After being so delighted with his novels up to now, finding one (the longest) that is not up there in quality among the others...annoyed me. As about the olympics, I believe we have the smallest crop of medals so far in ages. Specifically regarding gymnastics, we've got no medal and I hear this didn't happen since 1972. What will become of this country...? :)

Starting this morning I began to take a certain pill for the dizziness and barred hearing in my left ear, which are supposedly given by this vertigo, it's called betaserc. So far no effect, but it's certainly too early to tell.

On this beautifull sunny day.Seems like a golden rule here:What we miss in July is August making up for.Good old August :)

And yes I guss I understand your excitement about botanic garden(s).Lived very close to one for 5 years and it was always a pleasure to go there.Like a temple,a pocket were time stands still.And all the smells,not to mention the light.Especially during the dark period of the year it is the perfect place to recharge the batteries.Almost like a tiny(but significant)vacation !?

Last day for the olympics (it takes only half the time of the football championship!) and it's been pretty cool, yesterday watched 2 women fight in free style, and after the finish the loser started to cry and cry seated on the floor, and when eventually the arbiter called her to shake hand and to raise the hand of the winner she still didnt feel like complying and cried. Oops :)

We also live fairly close to this botanical garden so we can walk to if we feel like. America, yes, should be interesting memories to share from your friend, also depending on which places they visited.

I take "so far,so good" means you are satisfied with the bottomline!? So far. I sincerely hope your decissions will go your way and no grave obstacles on the bulgarian trip,which sounds like a great opportunity.

Here weekend has started on another sunny day.With wife sitting peacefull in the couch and reading a ladies magazine after a successful week with her job,which she appreciates so much. Meanwhile yours truly try do do some magic in the kitchen.POtatoes with pork makes it smell like Christmas;)

A fine weekend it was.With the culmination of winning the olympic gold in handball versus the almost unbeatable frenchmen who have won their 8 ! last finals.A big relif and celebration time.I think the whole country went bananas :)And did I mention for you,that my grandpa once met the guy who invented handball ? A doctor who lived north of Copenhagen.So in a way,handball came back yesterday.Were I for the first time in ages went for a little endless walk during the final 10 minuttes :)And thank you for your kind words of appreciation.

And yes,my old body allowed us a very nice trip to the seaside saturday. Wednesday and Tuesday in town with friends were it is always good to explore areas away from my normal daily "dizzy-like rythm".

Right now following Vuelta de Espana.
Kind of visiting the mountains when I cant,for the time being, go there in a traditional sense.And looking forward to the olympiad and curious if it is catching or just "another day on the office".

Tomorrow we leave Balchik, the weather was excellent all week and we did a few side trips too. We gonna spend another night on a cute Bulgarian town on our way to Iasi.

I am doing fine..still less dizzy(knocking all the wood on the size of Amazonas;).Had a wonderful trip to town yesterday with an oppurtunity that sudenly opened and I grabbed the chance.Pure bonus :).And yes cycling such as TDF and the Vuelta suits me very well.And you too,I see !...Yeah the scenery.A lot of almost nothing happens half of the time.But then, someone sacrfices a pawn..

Have just watched the VEVO video again with Springsteen and "Dream Baby Dream".It is just SO lifeconfirming and moving and again it cam be higly recommended !

Followed the Olympiad when possible and after a good start both our teams fizzled, which I've noticed almost always happened in these sort of events. And yes, we're gonna compete in football in spring, you're right, Denmark has the better team at the moment.

Not much happening here, wife went back to work and I first thing in the morning went to give blood samples for the routine check on my thyroid problem.

It pleases me to hear that you managed to have a fine trip,despite your obstacles,which I sincerely hope will vanish or significatly diminish(is that the word?).

Here things are as good as they get.
My new bed is now almost my best friend.And a good nigths sleep wont lower the dizzines,but makes it "easier" to bear.

The late sunny summer as well as in your place is still here and that is fine,but I wont complain when more human temperatures set in :)

And yes:Our teams usually come back in the standings as you observed.But the Germans won the European championship,3-4 years ago as perhaps the biggest upset of all times,chesswise.(odds here at CG 1450:1 !!) So we can keep on dreaming.And kudos to the American team who won with the smallest of argins....I never really got into it.Somehow the Vuelta caught me :)
