Hello all,
I joined CG as an administrator, editor & front-end developer. I will start helping CG with administrative/editor tasks such as making sure tournaments and their bio's are complete and up-to-date, reading forums to help list and prioritize tasks at hand.

6. Missing "notable games" and "notable tournaments" from player - <Jess> stevemcd87 chessforum We are setting up the old servers to use as a testing platform. It will help to debug this issue.

May-07-23  Rdb: <fredthebear: May I quote the erratic one? <<Let no one say that great crusader <fredthebear> is dishonest.>>>

I am sure you have a point even though it appears impossible to fathom

Please spell it out

<fredthebear: <<So , <Rbd> , why do you post personal attacks over and over ? I guess you just cannot help it like your buddy <Refuse> . Correct ?>>>

I seldom post personal attacks - sometimes I retaliate when I am attacked personally but that is rare.

You ? Is there any day when you posted but did not post personal attacks <fredthebear> ?

I tried to find but could not find any such day for you in recent history .

May be I am missing something .

Could you help me <fred> , about this search

Even today , I have reported several attacks by you against me and you can not show a single attack by me

May-07-23  Rdb: < fredthebear:

Then you finish with foolish faces>

That is a personal attack. I am going to report.

.

May-07-23  Rdb: < fredthebear: Another putz mischaracterization - <perfidious:, he is ever the victim, same as the former president he worships with slavish devotion.> Thank goodness I'm not in bed with the Bidens like so many>

That is a personal attack - the adjective <putz> is an insult

I am going to report.

.

May-09-23  stone free or die: OK, I noticed the first post of the day today of a fellow traveler, which has been deleted.

I still might mention the mentions...

May-13-23  Rdb: <thegoodanarchist: Children behave! Be kind to one another>

I am going to report. I was banned for using the word <childish>.

What is good for gander is good for goose too. <thegoodanarchist> must be banned.

Ladies and gentleman , we have rules here and law abiding citizens like me who care for rules. It is not Vietnam.

<thegoodanarchist> and his high horse , both should be sent to penitentiary provided high horse can fit in penitentiary

.

May-17-23  Rdb: < Keyser Soze: <Enjoy detesting me and vomiting your self righteous hate . I am not the only one you enjoy detesting. List of the people you detest is very long , starting with <ohiochessfan> . I have no need to hate any one.> mimimimi. <NOZZLE> never stops...heh heh>

So , Lord Krishna killed kans. Lord rama killed ravana

There was no hate in those killings , however. (Like you kill your pet dog/horse if they go mad . There is no hate in those killings. Love is still there)

Impersonal love of jesus - that is a state of being. Delta brain wave activity level.

In that state , you just can not hate, you are always full of love in that state . And yet you do whatever needs be done , even killing.

Now , of course , you can not expect people on internet to be at that level.

However , what admins/owner and others wish is that people not be quick to be offended and remain calm.

Just enjoy. Live and let live . Rogoffland or any other forum is not war zone. Disagree/criticize by all means - that is one of the highest democratic values and has to be encouraged/cherished.

However , try to be love all the time as much as possible. (Try to be love - not try to be loving. Love is state of being . It is about being not doing . Many people may have experienced this state of being from time to time , though it becomes permanent only when we reach level of krishna/jesus/buddha)

So, my apologies guys , if I was curt to you people at times.

<i am just a soul whose intentions are good

O Lord, please do not let me be misunderstood >

May-17-23  Rdb: <FSR: Apparently CG is getting prudish. I posted a comment about one of my law school suite-mates, who had been a star football player at Harvard. (<HMM> might consider that an oxymoron.) I remarked that he got a lot of [slang term for feline, with asterisks for middle three letters]. My comment has vanished.>

Is that prudish ? That is not prudish.

Cg deserves respect for that. Thank you cg

Respect women/humans.

Learn from the impersonal love of jesus.

Once again , I am reminded of one of my favorite quotes of one of my favorite mystics

<Q: What is the place of sex in love? M: Love is a state of being. Sex is energy. Love is wise, sex is blind. Once the true nature of love and sex is understood there will be no conflict or confusion. Q: There is so much sex without love.
M: Without love all is evil. Life itself without love is evil. Q: What can make me love?
M: You are love itself -- when you are not afraid.>

- nisargadatta Maharaj in 'I am that ' book. Nisargadatta died in 1981

May-18-23  Rdb: Thank you admins/owner.

Much appreciated.

Regards.

May-21-23  stone free or die: Let's talk about the furry one shall we?

Start here - the thread was cleaned up hiding the record of his violations, but I saved my post (which also was deleted):

<Speaking of gratuitous pot-shots...

<Perhaps Jen Psaki could get a crossover role doing two jobs again.>

<Don't watch Jen Psaki's skewed analysis on CNN>

Hiding behind the chessboard to take pot-shots at <Jen Psaki> takes a certain kind of courage, or lack thereof.>

Shaobin vs A Nadanian, 2006

Typical - for no reason whatsoever using the chess decoy to insert inflammatory political material into a thread, needlessly.

And then <CG> fails to monitor a repeat offender so the material is allowed to fester out in plainview.

Then when finally alerted, <CG> takes only half-measures to just delete the offending material without dealing with the source of the problem.

And let's point out the hypocrisy of the furry one - claiming that the week has been peaceful otherwise.

What's clear here is that the furry one is using chess as a foil, and will continue to do so unless foiled.

<CG> is allowing this, and encouraging it.

If you can't deal with the fundamental problem, I think it would be better to just stand down and allow the record to stand without distortion.

Your half-measures are failing, badly.

.

May-21-23  stone free or die: I have more ground to cover, but the above is a good place to start... it reveals the basic cycle despite the attempt to disguise the behavior.

It must have been difficult to only allow those couple of "asides" during the course of the past week.

Luckily, despite the attempt to maintain the facade, the primal urge was irresistible, and the cover was quickly blown.

May-21-23  stone free or die: Let's talk about <Sally> just a bit for just a moment.

Morphy vs C Harris, 1859 (kibitz #5)

A dedicated biographer is asking for the correct date of a game, but the wording is such that <Sally> can crack an 8th grade level joke - citing today's date.

<Fred> joins in, and <Sally> continues jesting, only then adding something that might be considered useful:

<Paul somebody will see this jesting and happen along and give more information regarding the source "Brentano's Chess Monthly, vol.i n.10 (February 1882), p.525" However Brentano's may have it got it from a newspaper printed on Monday 21st November 1859 with the game being played on the 18th.>

But this isn't as help as it might seem - the Brentano ref is from the source tage, and there's only speculation about what newspaper on what date.

Anyways, <paulmorphy1969> asked a legit question about bio info, and wasn't asking for a comedy act.

I believe my now deleted mild rebuke was merited, and had parity on the level of satire, though <Missy>'s and <jnpope>'s posts were more "helpful".

.

May-22-23  stone free or die: Peaceful?!

Here's an example of the furry one going out of his way to provoke and target, hiding behind a coredump of Reinfeld books:

<Chess Books by Fred Reinfeld:

Why You Lose At Chess (Simon & Schustor, NY, 1956) Win at Chess (Dover, NY, 1958)(ISBN 0486418782)
Winning Chess: How to Perfect your Attacking Play Winning Chess for Beginners (Grosset, NY, 1959)
Winning Chess Openings (Hanover, Garden City, 1961)

504 Gateway Time-out

<"The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" NN NY Rdb4 no a zsfod z4 mod z free zanzibard z stoner went perd a. missy mister max black white red read book Petrovpeter paul mary susan chrisowen yep refused pe sally a sandwich soup Moscow London Ohio scree 17 Ross Railroad triangle timothy perhidiously patzer psycho samuel john luke robertson trump don biden hunter lion snake 'Nomen nominandum' a.k.a 'the name to be named'>>

Game Collection: NN Needs Fredthe... Reinfeld, Chernev, Horowitz,

You can see even Peter, Paul and Mary are named, as well as <Susan>.

This isn't the most rational of writings, but more like red flag stuff.

Obviously I have an issue, rather legitimate imo, with being named multiple times in such a manner.

There are several important scripts that have stopped working two years ago or something. It has been reported several times but as usual nothing has been done about it.

Other problem (maybe related): Pia Cramling

The Cramling vs Korchnoi game listed under "notable games" has an invalid link. The correct link is: P Cramling vs Korchnoi, 1984.
