| Nov-28-14 | | Travis Bickle: <WannaBe> Deal! |
Nov-28-14
 | | Phony Benoni: Well, Travis, I do hope your wish comes true. The Lions have another game with the Bears at Soldier Field, and will probably need to win it to have a chance to make the playoffs. |
| Nov-28-14 | | Travis Bickle: Better your Lions than those Stinkin' Cheeseheads!! |
Nov-29-14
 | | WannaBe: Goooood game between Mich-OSU. |
Nov-29-14
 | | Phony Benoni: Well, it was for a while. |
Nov-29-14
 | | WannaBe: Anyone here roots for Notre Dame? They are getting killed in the first Qtr. (I always joked, "You know what ND stands for? No Defence!!) |
| Nov-29-14 | | Jim Bartle: What year did Notre Dame lead USC 24-0 just before halftime, then gave up 49 straight points? |

Nov-29-14
 | | WannaBe: Number 4 Miss State lost, be interesting if TCU & Baylor gets the shaft by not playing in a conference championship game. If OSU win, I can easily see the Buckeyes go up to #4. |
Nov-29-14
 | | Phony Benoni: OSU quarterback broke his ankle today against Michigan. That may tell against them in the rankings, even if they win the Really Big 10 title game against Wisconsin. TV guys seem to want either TCU or Baylor in there. Everybody loves a scoring machine. |
Nov-29-14
 | | WannaBe: Just what we need, 4 1/2 hour football game that have more points that a basketball game =)) |
Nov-29-14
 | | WannaBe: Another INT by Auburn, don't think Alabama's gonna win this game... That's gonna make the top 4 really interesting. |
Nov-29-14
 | | WannaBe: Just like I said, Alabama's gonna come back and win this game. |
Nov-30-14
 | | Phony Benoni: Five punts?

Nov-30-14
 | | WannaBe: Okay, here are the teams that I (pick'd) jinx'd this week: Lions, Eagles, Seahawks, Colts, Texans, Bills, Ravens, Giants, Bengals, Raiders, Steelers, Vikings, Cardinals, Packers, Broncos, and Jets |
Nov-30-14
 | | WannaBe: Anybody took the Traiders and the +49.5 points? |
Nov-30-14
 | | WannaBe: Okay, (read paragraph 3), will someone please tell me how you fit 7 passengers in to a Camaro?? I doubt you can fit 7 passengers into a Corolla, or Camry. Okay, a Caravan, maybe. http://espn.go.com/college-football... |
Dec-01-14
 | | Phony Benoni: How do you fit seven elephants in a Volkswagen?
Three in the front, three in the back, and one in the glove compartment. |
Dec-01-14
 | | WannaBe: Everything must go, no offer is too low or refused!!! http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/sto... |
| Dec-01-14 | | Jim Bartle: Football question:
Tonight on MNF a player made a fair catch on a high, short kickoff. Now it's a free ball on a kickoff, unlike on a punt. So does a player making the fair catch have the right to catch the ball undisturbed, or can a player on the kicking team also try to catch it? |
Dec-01-14
 | | WannaBe: Kicking team may not interfere with the receiver of the kick-off. http://www.nfl.com/rulebook/faircatch
http://www.ask.com/sports-active-li... http://www.answers.com/Q/Can_you_fa... But if on kick-off and you signal fair catch and don't catch it (Unlike punt), it's a live ball. |
| Dec-02-14 | | Jim Bartle: That sounds like a giant controversy waiting to happen. Say a team tries an onside kick by kicking the ball very high about 15 yards down the field. Ten guys are charging to get the ball in the air, then one guy on the receiving team waves his arm in the airand claims the right to catch the ball untouched. How is the defense expected to see that? |
Dec-02-14
 | | OhioChessFan: A kick off is a live ball and a punt is not, whether a fair catch is signalled or not. |
| Dec-02-14 | | Jim Bartle: OK. but that seems to conflict with what < wannabe> says. The ball is in the air. Players from both teams have a chance to catch it, or at least touch it, before it hits the ground. A player on the receiving team signals fair catch. Everyone else has to step aside and let him catch it? Looks to me as if there's a hole in the rules. |
Dec-02-14
 | | Phony Benoni: That may be tough for the kicking team, but given the rules I don't see the problem. I also don't see a lot of high pop-ups on onside kicks. |
