| Jan-19-15 | | Jim Bartle: Just saw highlights of Green Bay-Seattle. I can hardly count the number of ways Green Bay choked it. ""Hey look, a two-point conversion pass in the air. No, you just go ahead and take it." |

 | | Phony Benoni: Well, that lets all the air out of New England's victory. |
|
| Jan-19-15 | | technical draw: < Benoni><Well, that lets all the air out of New England's victory.> That's good. I wish I had thought of it. |

 | | WannaBe: Well, it's been 24 hours, give or take... And we have some exit poll numbers: http://espn.go.com/espn/fp/flashPol... |

 | | Phony Benoni: New England's color should be red. Everybody knows that Democrats are for inflation, Republicans for deflation. |

 | | Tabanus: <Phony> For your pleasure! John Henry Smythe is now also up, and A G Ashbrook = Arthur Garwood Ashbrook (1921-2011), corr. slip sent. |
|
| Jan-20-15 | | Jim Bartle: If the NFL allows teams to bring their own footballs, abuses are going to happen. Or the Pats could just take the balls to Mt. Washington and inflate them there. Then they'd be plenty soft back at the stadium. |
|
Jan-20-15
 | | Phony Benoni: <Tabanus> Thanks. Looks like that John Henry Smythe was a pawn drivin' man, but broke down under the strain. |

 | | WannaBe: Breakin' Gnus!!! Deflate-gate!!
11 of 12 football (found to be) under inflated by 2lb! http://espn.go.com/boston/story/_/i... |

 | | WannaBe: I say ban the repeat cheater Belichik and the freakin' team for a season, a la Saints and Bounty-Gate. Plus first round picks in the next 2 drafts, and personal fine for Belichik and/or team. Repeat offender. No mercy. |

 | | Phony Benoni: what if the Patriots just let the Radiers win next time they play? |
|
Jan-20-15
 | | WannaBe: Sorry, my good friend <Phony Benoni>, they cheated in the snow covered field for a FG to beat us. And then SpyGate, and now this... 1 under inflated football, I can understand, but 11 of 12?!!? Here is Seifert's take: http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/p... |
|
Jan-20-15
 | | Phony Benoni: Belichick's not going to be happy. They missed one. |

 | | WannaBe: It's freakin' funny... I now live in San Mateo, CA, and Brady family house is about (maybe) 2 miles away from here. So, locally, when not rootin' for them 4th and 9ers, people root for the home town boy. Now, I get to watch one cheat (Pete) who brought shame and sanction to 'SC, vs another Beli-cheat for Super Bowl? Maybe Glendale, AZ will petition the NFL to cancel the whole thing. |

 | | chancho: <WannaBe> Belichick married the guy's wife. (After the divorce, obviously)
I should have written: He was cheating <with> another man's wife. Maybe <Phony B> can do me the favor and delete that post. Uggh... |
|
Jan-21-15
 | | mistermac: Why don't you guys seattle down. But, seriously, do we need a gossip column? I lost a good wife not so long ago, and she never cheated. And the place was a lot tidier with her around. |

Maybe it should be renamed Pascalbelichik's Canon. It is a nice Air. Has a lot of hang time though! |
|
| Jan-21-15 | | Jim Bartle: <they cheated in the snow covered field for a FG to beat us.> I never understood why the refs let the snowplow play stand. They should have immediately marched to the other end of the field. |
|
Jan-21-15
 | | WannaBe: Well, I am not defending the refs, but defending "Being Human", none of the refs threw a flag when a Dallas player ran on the field without a helmet. All of them missed the call... |
|
Jan-21-15
 | | WannaBe: The thing I would like to know is, and maybe between all the brains that we have here, can tell me... Have NFL always allowed each team to supply their own ball to use? What about college? |
|
Jan-21-15
 | | Phony Benoni: <chancho> Message deleted, as per your request. <WannaBe> As one of our Local Sports Guys (the intelligent one) explained it today, each team provides 12 balls for its offense to use. The referees check the balls two hours before game time, then give them back to the teams. Apparently, the hanky-panky took place during that time. And, speaking of hanky-panky, I do wish you guys would keep the scandals separate. I was picturing Belichick cheating with another man's wife during a snowstorm with the referees playing Pachelbel's "Air On a G-String. |
