 | | Penguincw: And the funny thing is that Gose is a former Blue Jays. So glad that Toronto got rid of him. ;) Toronto is pouring it on, 9-1 in the 6th. I'm going to assume they'll win, so Toronto extends their lead temporarily to 2 games. Tomorrow, Toronto will go for the sweep. It would be nice if Verlander pitched though. Who wouldn't like to see him face off against Donaldson, Bautista and Encarnacion? Oh, and on unrelated note. I finally found someone that throws left and bats right: Madison Bumgarner (even though he's a pitcher). Even though I don't like the Giants, gotta give it to him. |

Aug-29-15
 | | WannaBe: You should check out MadBum's career batting average... |
Aug-29-15
 | | Penguincw: Wasn't there just some conversation about some guy with a low batting average and a lot of power. Though for Mad Bum, .182 average, 11 home runs. Good enough for a pitcher. Better than Kershaw's .153 and 1 home run though. :( But guess who has more runs and hits (and ABs)! On a related note, Vin Scully is returning for next year. Yay! |

 | | Phony Benoni: Looks like the Tigers have a colonoscopy scheduled. |
| Aug-29-15 | | Jim Bartle: <I finally found someone that throws left and bats right: Madison Bumgarner (even though he's a pitcher). > Sandy Koufax. Calling it "batting" may be a stretch but he did stand in the right-handed batters box. |

 | | WannaBe: There's a game to keep an eye on, M. Fiers and HOU at MIN... Very early, only the 4th inning. |
Aug-29-15
 | | WannaBe: Never mind... |
Aug-29-15
 | | WannaBe: CHI-LAD will start soon, I hope for a good game, and <Travis Bickle> have plenty of Pabst Blue!! |
Aug-29-15
 | | WannaBe: Cubs are on the board first, interesting that there's an ump named Gibson in this series, Greg. In the St.L-SFG series, there's an ump named Tripp Gibson, who last night, was the home plate ump. And whenever Miller (SFG radio play-by-pay) said "Gibson", I keep thinking Kirk. Man, there's a lot of Gibsons in the league, didn't know they had a monopoly on MLB umpires. |

 | | WannaBe: Breakin' News: Montana (#12 in FCS A.K.A. DI-AA) just defeated North Dakota State (#1 FCS, 4-Time defending Champ). Reaction: I'm gonna take the points and bet the house on Virginia Tech Hokies when Ohio State visits Blacksburg two Mondays from now. |

Aug-30-15
 | | Penguincw: Almost forgot to mention that the Yankees beat Atlanta 3-1. No fair that the Yankees get to face a weaker team... |
Aug-30-15
 | | keypusher: <Penguincw: Almost forgot to mention that the Yankees beat Atlanta 3-1. No fair that the Yankees get to face a weaker team...> Pretty sure these things even out over 162 games. |
Aug-30-15
 | | Phony Benoni: <keypusher> No, they don't even out. The Yankees always have an easier schedule, because they don't have to play the Yankees. |
Aug-30-15
 | | WannaBe: That was quick, 2-0 Cubbies... |
| Aug-30-15 | | Travis Bickle: <WannaBe> We need a strong performance from Arrieta because are bats have gone dead! |
Aug-30-15
 | | WannaBe: Teams got to dread the West Coast road trips where stops include LA, SF. Two teams that always have pitching and visitors have to deal with time zone changes. Games that starts at 7PM but your body says 10. |
Aug-30-15
 | | perfidious: <WannaBe> The opposite of the late 1970s in the AL when East powers NY, Boston and Baltimore got to feast on expansion Seattle, post-fire sale Oakland and the usually so-so Angels. |
Aug-30-15
 | | Penguincw: < Penguincw: No fair that the Yankees get to face a weaker team... > Alright, I take that back. Rough calculations indicate Toronto has faced teams playing 0.496 baseball so far, while the Yankees are facing 0.503 clubs. But when I saw the Yankees were visiting Atlanta for the weekend, I felt like it was certain the Yankees were pulling off a sweep, and they did, outscoring them 38-10. Last weekend, the Jays outscored the Angels 36-10. :| This weekend, 29-6, not bad though. |
Aug-30-15
 | | WannaBe: Yeah, yeah, yeah... People will always complain about the schedule. "Why do we get Toronto after they get so-and-so?", "Why did my draw have me playing black against Anand, So, and Topalov in the second half of Sequenfeld Cup?", "Why the Raiders have to face Green Bay this season?", blah, blah, blah... |
Aug-30-15
 | | WannaBe: Apparently, there is something called "A No-Hitter" going on in Los Angeles. Anyone have any idea what the heck that is? |
Aug-30-15
 | | WannaBe: I wonder if that 2-run HR in the first inning will be all the runs scored in this game. And I wonder how many Pabst <travis bickle> have left. I can use a few right now. |
Aug-30-15
 | | WannaBe: Alright, 3 more outs for them LA Bums... |
Aug-30-15
 | | WannaBe: 2 more outs... |
Aug-30-15
 | | WannaBe: One more out... |
Aug-30-15
 | | WannaBe: Another No-No. Arrieta struck out the side in the 9th!! |
