Long story short, this acquaintance of mine went to the drunk tank and slept it off, this morning, I was able to do some detective work and got a hold of this person phone number.

Luckily, the cell phone was work phone, and I was able to find the number from their company web page. Figured worst case, I leave a message, saying where the car was parked. In case of a total black-out.

Went to Burlingame drunk tank and gave my acquaintance a ride back to the car, and avoided a costly DUI, possibly getting fired.

Did my good deed for 2018, now I can return to being Wascally Wabbit again.

=))

<Being somewhat of a World War II buff, and an unabashed pseudo-expert, I can't even to begin to imagine what it would be like to live through an era or a period of history such as that.>

Guess who wrote that?

I'm watching videos of the North Africa campaigns and I'm up to the Casablanca battle which I thought had something to do with Capablanca. But no, some Germans and Americans, and Brits fighting for some reason or other.

WannaBe: <Caissanist> Why yes I have many fond memory of Phil, a.k.a. <whiskeyrebel>. Have not heard from him for 2+ years, I do hope he is fine. Last I know him and the Mrs. were living in TX, don't recall the name of the city.

We were at Vegas tournament (National Open) held at Riviera and roomed together. That's when he did the simul against A. Shabalov and I took both their pictures (now on their players' pages).
