 | | tpstar: <Shams> Don't use that algorithm in court or you won't have a leg to stand on. Maybe someone could air it out during the next leg of ChessBookie. |
Apr-15-11 | | Mozart72: Good morning my fellow detractors. Move 33 could have been a draw for bothe players. |
Apr-15-11 | | Jim Bartle: I still think you're kidding all of us, but I'll play along. How about showing us how black can survive from this position at move 33: click for larger view |
Apr-15-11 | | Mozart72: Did I mention that Kasparov's move 38 named this game "Kasparov's Immortal"? |
Apr-15-11 | | Jim Bartle: Yes you did. A move made after the game was completely and indisputably won by white was the move which made it an immortal game. |
Apr-15-11 | | Lil Swine: too complex for me. |
Apr-16-11
 | | LIFE Master AJ: Sounds like "bovine breezes" to me. |
Apr-16-11
 | | LIFE Master AJ: Jeff Sonas is a REAL mathematician ... someone should ask him what is wrong with this sytem. |
Apr-16-11 | | Mozart72: Well, Mr. Jeff Sonas. What's wrong with my system, the "unite-count %"? |
Apr-17-11
 | | LIFE Master AJ: I am not Sonas.
Write him a letter ... |
Apr-17-11
 | | LIFE Master AJ: Personally, I think your system is severely flawed, however, I would NOT qualify myself as a trained mathematician!!! |
Apr-17-11
 | | LIFE Master AJ: By the way, the word is "HYPOTHETICALLY."
Hard to trust/believe someone that cannot even spell correctly. (Makes me wonder if you are not some addled teen-ager.) |
Apr-17-11 | | Mozart72: Not and addled teen-ager. A mexican who's mother tong is spanish and who's universal toung is mathematics. |
Apr-17-11 | | Mozart72: By the way, <Life Master AJ>, I would be more than glad if you gave me Jeff Sonas e-mail. |
Apr-17-11 | | nimh: I can give you his e-mail. Everyone who is interested in chess statistics knows this, it's never been a secret. jeffsonas@gmail.com |
Apr-17-11 | | Mozart72: Thanks <nimh> for revealing the non-existing secret. |
Apr-17-11
 | | LIFE Master AJ: <nimh> Thanks.
It would be nice if someone wrote him an e-mail and explained <Mozart72>'s system to him. I am betting he could punch a million holes in it. (I won't do it. I consider Jeff a friend and I would not bother him unless I thought it was really important.) He is a very smart guy and actually has written articles for both USCF and FIDE. Maybe you want to do it? |
Apr-17-11
 | | LIFE Master AJ: Actually - on second thought - I think I will email him. He is the only guy I know qualified to comment on matters of math. (and chess) |
Apr-17-11 | | micartouse: Mozart72 is just lampooning the posters who go overboard extending probability to past hypothetical matches. There, I said it. I know Tomlinsky once said Americans ruin jokes by explaining them, but c'mon, this is just nervewracking to watch people fall for the next iamverywellatchess. |
Apr-17-11 | | Mozart72: <LIFE Master AJ>, Do send him my "Unit-Count %" chart to him and see what he has to say about it. My e-mail is: rgilq@yahoo.com I will also e-mail him. |
Apr-17-11
 | | plang: <Mozart72: No chess game is innocent, keypusher, and you have the right to do as you wish.> I would think a chess game is innocent until proven guilty!?! |
Apr-17-11 | | micartouse: No chess game is innocent if it is an Alekhine victory and Calli is kibitzing it. |
Apr-18-11
 | | LIFE Master AJ: I did e-mail Sonas ... as to whether he ever replies, who knows? |
Apr-18-11 | | Mozart72: He replied yesterday night. |
