Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-28-05  Autoreparaturwerkbau: South Italian proved to be a tough guy to big AA - Napolitano made few errors, but even less unexpected moves.

Scroll down until C.N.#4763. In the first one, Alekhine seems to think just before his 49th move.

This says the game was played in Munich. Isn't the photo in question from the European Championship in Monaco 1942?

Jul-22-13  BlackFront: Photo has big swastika on wall. Italian for München is Monaco di Baviera.
Jul-22-13  SBC:

Thanks. That's what I wanted to hear.

Jul-22-13  JimNorCal: Based on the photos, Alekhine did not age particularly well.
