  plang: 8..Be6 was first played by Topalov against Kasparov in 1996. It leads to a position where black has a compromised pawn structure but with active piece play. 14 Be2..h4 15 gh..Rg2 16 Bf3..Rgd2 17 Rd2..Be3 18 Rd1..Bf4 is good for black. Black gets just enough counterplay at the end to force a repetition despite all his weak pawns. 26 Rf7..Rg1+ 27 Kh2..Rg2 etc..
