May-31-05  vonKrolock: <15.ed4> Much better than 15.Re4 f5! etc and black holds his stronghold strong

<15...b5> not quite satisfactory, maybe 15...Qc7 followed by f6-f5 and Bd6 etc would be slightly better

<22.Rd3>! The threats over black K's position are decisive (notes by zk)

Once: A rare outing for Frank Marshall in the Nimzo Indian, and I think we can see why. It really doesn't suit his playing style.
May-12-10  Waitaka: I am surprised, I was pretty sure that the GOTD would be Topalov vs Anand, 2010, 0-1
May-12-10  newzild: I don't understand the pun. How does "court" relate to this game?
May-12-10  goodevans: "Caught Marshall" would have been a better pun.

estrick: "court martial" is a very severe PUNishment in the military. Marshall clearly got PUNished in this game.

kevin86: I prefer the Shoup-Marshall minature where the American champ gets clobbered.

chrisowen: Lilienthal militarises his big guns. Black's king it was who's held prisoner of war by queen and rook. The Bb4 Qa5 team again is a bad move he makes, a crime to forget knight in building the vessel of c3 attack. He missed a tedious recapture on c5 and paid the price. Ha nibble the plan of smoking out his majesty to face the music. Andre doctors chronic shift in pieces to king side. The grapple of king up is howling mad, castle gives flight and hfile queen fought bragging rights leaving the law to come down in white's court, Marshall wanted more discipline.
May-12-10  ROO.BOOKAROO: Is it just me, or does anyone else clearly understand what Chrisowen is saying? I begin to doubt the sanity of my own brain, as if this was some kind of nightmare. It must be me.
May-12-10  ajile: Allowing White to double Black's k-side pawns can't be good.

chrisowen: To me I read your comments and perhaps more volume's required <roo.bookaroo> that or the gloves came off and found myself punching above my weight? I'll hop around and walk er the line straight on occassion when I'm lucid and awake. Is it a large foot forwards?
