Here I give few move of the main line of attack: 25.Nxf6 Bxf6 26.Ng5 Kg8 27.c5!! Bxg5 28.Qb3+! Be6 29.fxe6 Bxe3+ 30.Qxe3 Nxe6 31.c6! bxc6 32.Qh6, the situation is changed radically and Black now under a mate attack. |

Black in turn trades a knight for a pawn. White sacs the exchange for the knight. Black finally accepts the knight White offered first move. Next move, Black sacs the exchange. Then White offers a Queen. Black resigns two moves later. |

In a way, ♘xf5 and fxg5 helps white because it clears the path to black's ♔ for the heavy artillery. 29.♗d4 is a very nice move, leaving the ♕ en prise, winning it back after 29...♕xe4 30.♗xg7+ ♔g8 31.♘f6+. |

Its a frying pan or fire situation. Now after 29...Qxe4 then 30.Bxg7+ Kg8 31.Nf6+! Kf7 32.Nxe4 & Blacks in deep trouble. |

| Jan-06-07 | | Fisheremon: <greensfield> Thanks for pointing out. Indeed 30...Qxe6 stronger than 30...Nxe6. After 30...Qxe6 unfortunately attacking Blacks Queenside just sufficient for equality. In my analysis I counted secondary variation: 28.Bxg5 Qxc5+ 29.Be3 Qxb5 30.f6 Qxd3 31.f7+ Kg7 32.fxe8N+ Bxe8 leading to a winning endgame (not for the attack fans!). Another 'secondary' variation 27.Bd5+ (still after sac 25.Nxf6 Bxf6 26.Ng5 Kg8) leading to a quicker win, but not so nice as sac 25.Ng5. Also as in the game 30.Rxg7 seems stronger than played 30.Bxg7+. |

| Jan-07-07 | | Fisheremon: <greensfield and others> I completed my analysis of 25.Nxf6 Bxf6 26.Ng5 Kg8 27.c5 Bxg5 with improvement 28.Bd4. Basically there are three lines here
1) 28...Rd8 2) 28...Bxf5 3) 28...Nxf5 (with quite lot of nice combos). If you're interested you may try yourself. I would be very glad if you could find something new here, e.g. a bug of my analysis. Cheers ! |
