Phony Benoni: Perfect? Not by a long shot. white's first move disqualifies the game immediately.

Black pursues his best course of trying to set up a Benoni, but mistimes everything horribly.

The rook sacrifice on h7 is a standard idea, but it is unusual to see the a1-Rook delivering the shot while the f1-rook waits to deliver the death blow from the shadows.

Sep-08-17  Delboy: The white QR gets to do a lot of work in this game. It would have been amusing if it had retreated to h1 on move 20, a surely unique intrusion of this piece into a castled king's chambers

So you and I agree with Paul Morphy and Bobby Fischer. Now if only that alone were enough to put us in their class!

Sep-08-17  catlover: <offramp> For what it's worth, "The Big Slab of Murrine from Differgange Kaupthing" has a much better ring to it.
Sep-08-17  kevin86: White dominates the h-file.
Sep-08-17  ColeTrane: interesting how TX municipalities continued to use companies like soutgtexasweathermodificationassiciation to not only continue cloud seeding during these storms, but to increase the amount....

Sep-08-17  Cheapo by the Dozen: Black should probably have exchanged off the e4 knight while it was still possible, even though Bd3 could then be played with tempo.
Sep-08-17  Mendrys: <ColeTrane: interesting how TX municipalities continued to use companies like soutgtexasweathermodificationassiciation to not only continue cloud seeding during these storms, but to increase the amount....> That's the whole point of cloud seeding, to increase rainfall. Though it's effectiveness is very much in doubt. Do you really think they were seeding clouds from Harvey? The areas seeded saw very little, if any, rain from Harvey.
