Sep-30-10  Whitehat1963: And Ivanchuk's winning streak comes to an end. Well, at least he remains unbeaten. Surely his rating will climb after this tournament.
Sep-30-10  rogge: Ivanchuk has climbed from 2702 in May 2009 to 2772 after this game.
Sep-30-10  Whitehat1963: According to the live rating list, Ivanchuk's rating has climbed 18 points in his last 7 games. He's now number 6 on the list, just ahead of Karjakin, whose rating has climbed 19 points in his last 7 games.

Sep-30-10  Hesam7: This game is almost identical to: Karpov vs Kasparov, 1986 (with just a change of move order). Both games have the same position after 14. Nb5:

Kasparov played 14. ... Qf6 and eventually lost (according to him his mistake came later in the game and the queen move is perfectly fine). In his comments to the game Kasparov says that he did not like 14. ... Bxb2 or 14. ... g5!?. Ivanchuk plays 14. ... Bd7 and gets rid of the b5-knight immediately.
