Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-30-14  thegoodanarchist: I assume the "30b" means it was a 30-board simul. But most of the other simul games in Capa's db don't say anything about any ##b. Why put it here in this instance?

MissScarlett: Most of the other Capa simul games in the DB don't include the venue or full date. So why include it here? Just shut up!

offramp: Why has there been no Kibitzing on this game?

keypusher: The kibitzing here is worthy of the game itself.

MissScarlett: A rather sad postscript to Ward's career; he'd be dead within the year. My impression, based on a limited knowledge of his games, is that his main strength was in the openings.
May-06-15  Blind Pigs: <Dec-31-14 tamar: At least play 23...Bxg3 and pray like hell.> I doubt Capa would have missed 24. Qxg3, a piece up and with control of the center and K side. I agree with Ward's decision to preserve a shred of dignity.
Dec-13-15  TheFocus: From a simultaneous exhibition in London, England on January 18, 1920.

Capablanca scored +27=1-2.
