FIDE master (2012). Nikita achieved a Canadian National Master certification from 2010 results in Ontario (1). In 2009, he won the Ontario U-14 Youth Chess Championship. In 2011, he tied with John Hughes for 1st-2nd in the N. American U-16 youth chess championships at 5.5/7 (2) & tied for 2nd-4th in the Canadian Youth U-16 chess championship with 5/7. He finished with 4.5/9 at the 2011 WYCC U16 category in Brazil. He was awarded the title of FIDE master after finishing sixth in the 2012 Canadian Closed Championship.
