(Dr) Ludwig Rödl was a German IM (1953) from Nuremberg. In German Championships he tied for 1st with Efim Bogoljubov at Swinemünde* in 1931, came 2nd to Efim Bogoljubov at Bad Pyrmont in 1933 and finished 3rd to Carl Johan Margot Carls and Enrique (Heinrich) Reinhardt at Aachen in 1934. In other events he was 2nd at Swinemünde 1932 and 2nd at Lüneburg 1947.
