Chessgames.com Chess Event Description
World Youth Championship U16 (Girls) (2016)

Time-frame: The tournament was held at Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia from September 22nd until October 3rd.

Much like some of the earliest youth championship events (for example, see 1995 WYCC(1) sections whose sections were held at either São Lourenço or Guarapuava in Brazil), the dates and cities of the tournament locales were split again during this series for the event bids.

Other similar youth championships are detailed below:

World Cadets U12 (2016) (open and women's Cadet's sections, held at Batumi, Georgia 18 - 31 October 2016) and World Youth Championship U18 (2016) (open sections of WYCC, some games including U14, U16 and U18) - held at Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia from September 22nd until October 3rd.

World Junior Championship (2016) and World Junior Championship (Girls) (2016) (both were at KIIT University at Bhubaneswar from August 7th until the 22nd)

Previous: World Youth Championship (Girls) (2012) (events from 2013, 2014 and 2015 have not yet been thoroughly uploaded to an event page as of yet)

OhioChessFan: Love the first rounds of tournaments. 20 of 25 games on the first page are decisive.
Oct-01-16  Chesstorian72: Bunch of patzers no one cares about.
Oct-04-16  DIO: This is actually the girls U16 section. ChessGames, please correct and update. The competition finished yesterday.

Tabanus: Perfect. Only that this event does not list (for some reason) the game Marni Oberholzer vs Rosita Griciute, 2016.
