May-25-06  virginmind: don't know why the link with romanian girls seems to have blocked.
May-25-06  yalie: <CRWynn: Ganguly never played ...Rf5, so we don't really know what's happening in that game. A real crush by Kramnik, much more impressive than his win vs. Naiditsch. Bu Xiangzhi must be kicking himself, getting a good position against Kramnik and a completely-winning one against Anand on two straight days, only to get two straight draws. >

Ah, but Anand and Kramnik deserve a lot of praise for their enterprising play against a great player like Bu Xianghi :)

p.s. sory guys couldnt resist

May-25-06  Dionyseus: Mate in 12 in Sargissian-Morozevich game:

Analysis by Rybka 1.2n 32-bit:
38.Bxe5 Qxe5+ 39.Qxe5 Rxe5 40.d8Q Re6 41.Qg5 Rg6 42.Rxh4+ Kg7 43.Qe5+ f6 44.Qc7+ Kf8 45.Rh7 Rxg2+ 46.Kh1 Rg1+ 47.Kxg1 f2+ 48.Kxf2 (#12) Depth: 18 00:00:33 2548kN, tb=930

May-25-06  DCP23: Just had a look at the Morozevich game. I'm having a heart attack. Somebody call 911.
May-25-06  Stevens: Looks like Short could chalk up a win in his game too.
May-25-06  hitman84: Revised India - China results..

1. Anand - Bu 1/2
2. Zhong - Sasi
3. Hari - Wang 1/2
4. Ni Hua - Ganguly

May-25-06  yalie: < dramas79: 26. f3 seems to win for Koneru. >

ah yes .. I didnt see that it traps the knight. So what is happening on board 3? who is winning?

May-25-06  Ragh: <cotdt: Kramnik wins! and with his crushing record against Topa, I'll bet Topa will soon regret accepting his match against Kramnik.>

Hold there! The Topa who used get crushed in everyone's hand till last year is not the same person he is right now. The new incarnation appears to be more of a "Topa on Rybka drugs" or something.

May-25-06  dramas79: There is a player called Irina Botvinnik in Israel's women's team.
May-25-06  hitman84: <Ah, but Anand and Kramnik deserve a lot of praise for their enterprising play against a great player like Bu Xianghi :)

Dont worry.
The patriotic alter ego some times get out of control :)

May-25-06  johnwgoes: Kramnik won very impressively. He nursed a small advantage into a win. As far as I could tell there were no drawing lines after dxc6. If these results continue we are going to see one of the greatest world championship matches ever I predict.
May-25-06  cotdt: <Ragh> The new incarnations plays like Kasparov (but less stable), and if Topa continues to do this, then Kramnik will not have any trouble at all crushing him!

May-25-06  percyblakeney: Moro resigns, 2-2 in the match.
May-25-06  yalie: <Stevens: Looks like Short could chalk up a win in his game too.>

he couldnt do it in Short order though ..

May-25-06  amateur05: Could anyone please tell me how they calculate the points in team tournaments?
May-25-06  suenteus po 147: Gata seems to have a won game (provided all goes well after the delay ends). Onischuk also not fairing too badly. Nakamura won't give up the ghost.
May-25-06  Topzilla: Morozevich played like a completely patzer today, wasting a point against a weak opponent.

Kramnik win, nothing impressive, except Aronian stupid moves that lead the pawn to get so up.

May-25-06  crazy monk: <cotdt> No! Topa is like Shirov and Tal, Kramnik had problems with tactical genuis like them.
May-25-06  vaxel: armenia-russia---2:2
May-25-06  virginmind: nevedniky with black for romania is better against hjartarson...
May-25-06  TylerD: In my opinion it is not early to use use the word "impressive". In fact, I d say Kramnik has made a very impressive comeback, considering the preassure, the quality of the opponents and his poor form before taking his time-out... H eis playing innovative and strong chess here... Aronin, the Linares-winner - outclassed... Now, that is a message, if any! I ve been saying that Kramnik will win against Topa... Now I feel the truth of my own predicitions even clearer! Of course he might still take a couple of hits on his route to the september-match, but to start off like this, before even having a chance to shake off the rust... That is very impressive (there, I used that word again...). Chess is rather exciting right now, with Topalov putting up a fight every time he plays, a sensational Kamsky-comeback - and now this from Kramnik... I ve said it before: in my mind the september-match is the most exciting WC-match since the K vs K encounters!
May-25-06  Dionyseus: Zhang Zhong - Sasikiran Krishnan looks like an equal endgame:

Analysis by Rybka 1.2n 32-bit:
52.Ra4 f4+ 53.Kd3 g3 54.fxg3 fxg3 55.Ke3 f2 56.Ra5+ Ke6 57.Ke2 Ne4 58.Rxa6+ Ke5 (-0.25) Depth: 21 00:01:00 6515kN, tb=13168

May-25-06  Surrealist: <crazy monk> I still think Topalov reminds more Kasparov, they both have modest records against Kramnik.
May-25-06  Inf: peru-andorra 0-0 still, but granda has a great adv. same with board 3 and 4... :D
