Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-02-21  suenteus po 147: This tournament page needs a proper write up, but there's a lot of missing information. We know that the tournament was held in Tbilisi and the dates of the tournament were April 12th to May 14th, 1937, but what were the dates of the individual rounds?

Where was Botvinnik? How did the players qualify for this event? According to the wikipedia page of this event: "Qualification was by way of the championships of Moscow, Leningrad, Kiev, as well as various other events." But that's hardly sufficient.

A link to the Botvinnik-Levenfish match played in Moscow/Leningrad (Oct/Nov '37) should be included in the write up, with the explanation that the draw of the match allowed Levenfish to keep the championship title, but gave Botvinnik a ticket to the AVRO tournament in 1938.
