Russian Championship Higher League (2010)

The 63rd Russian Championship Higher League tournament was a 48-player 10-round Swiss held in Irkutsk, Russia, 26 August - 5 September 2010. Rest day: September 1. The top 5 finishers would advance to the Superfinal. Prize fund: 2.5 million rubles, with 500,000 rubles to the winner. Rounds started at 3 pm, Round 10 at noon. Time control: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, then 30 more minutes to the end of the game, with 30 seconds added per move from move one. Chief arbiter: Alexander Khasin.

Ian Nepomniachtchi won with 7/10. Khismatullin (2nd on tiebreak), Potkin (3rd), Kurnosov (4th) and Zvjaginsev (5th) also qualified for the Russian Championship Superfinal (2010).
