World Blitz Championship (Women) (2016)

The 2016 FIDE Women's World Blitz Championship was a 17-round Swiss open held in the Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiya Arena of Doha, Qatar from 29-30 December, with the participation of 34 players, including defending champion Anna Muzychuk. Prize fund: $40,000, with $10,000 to the winner. Time control: 3 minutes per player for all moves, with 2 seconds added per move from move 1. No playoffs if players finished with the same number of points. Tournament director: Mohamad Al-Modiahki. Chief arbiter: Ashot Vardapetyan, assisted by Anastasia Sorokina.

Anna Muzychuk won again with 13/17.
