The FIDE Women's World Team Championship 2019 took place from 5 to 14 March in Astana, Kazakhstan in the Astana International Campus (AIC), which is part of the Astana International Financial Centre. The Women's World Team Championship is a biennial round-robin tournament reserved for ten teams, which were selected through various paths. (1) Matches took place on 4 boards, with 2 match points for a win and 1 for a draw. Players received 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes to the end of the game, with a 30-second increment starting from move one. No draw offers allowed until after move 30. | Mar-08-19 | | sonia91: The team from the host country, Kazakhstan, had originally this line-up: 1. Zhansaya Abdumalik 2. Dinara Saduakassova 3. Guliskhan Nakhbayeva 4. Gulmira Dauletova 5. Madina Davletbayeva (team compositions submitted to FIDE: http://www.fide.com/component/conte...). But soon afterwards, Bibisara Assaubayeva switched back to Kazakhstan (from Russia) and was included in the team, on board 3, kicking out Davletbayeva out of the team. This is also Assaubayeva's debut in the Kazakhstani national team. |

In this event, both Carissa Yip and Rochelle Wu make their debut in the US team. |
