Notes
Round 1: The fifth annual intercollegiate tournament between two students from Columbia, Harvard, Yale, and Princeton universities began at the Columbia Grammar School, 34 and 36 East Fifty-first street, yesterday afternoon. With the exception of George O. Seward of Columbia all the originally selected players were present. In the place of Seward A. M. Price, who represented Columbia last year, was substituted.(2)
Round 5: Considering the mental and physical strain of the students during the first four days of the tourney all looked well, with the exception of Parker of Columbia, who, it was reported, was unable to play owing to sickness. His brother took his place.(3)
Round 6: The players faced each other in the final round as follows: W. W. Young, Princeton vs. G. Parker, Columbia, substitute for A. W. Parker. (4)
