Feb-25-03  kostich in time: Probably the best of Euwes wins with black in this variation..Wellmuth put it in the Golden Treasury of Chess,calling it a model example of the pieces vs. the Queen

  Sneaky: it's a pity that 45 c1=Q would have also won (with much less finesse). Maybe (for the purposes of turning into a problem) if the pawn at h2 was gone then it would truly require the underpromotion.
Dec-29-10  Ulhumbrus: An interesting technical point: On 40...Bb3! the white Queen can't take the black bishop as 41 Qxb3 allows Black's c pawn to queen by 41...c2-c1/Q
