FSR: The game concludes with an unusual right-handed version of Légal's Mate. Cf. De Legal vs Saint Brie, 1750; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%C3%....
Jan-02-14  MarkFinan: I once fell for this when I first started playing again, it was very similar anyway. Blitz players should know this mate off by heart. Bit shocked it made the database though.
Jan-02-14  RookFile: Any time you play that ...Bg4 pin, you should take a moment to calculate the unpin.
Feb-14-14  morfishine: Black must've been on a bender
Feb-14-14  PJs Studio: Phoni Benoni must've enjoyed this one ;)

Phony Benoni: This game illustrates one reason I grew to dislike correspondence chess. I ruined several days worrying if he would take the queen.

kingscrusher: Great to see 1.Nc3 used in correspondence style chess :)

perfidious: <kingscrusher>, I actually faced it in the late 1990s in a CC game against Vladimir Nikolaevich Kokorin ; it soon transposed into a Sicilian, Accelerated Dragon.
Jun-18-21  vonKrolock: Nice (even Sam playing like Ostap...) 🙂
