As you no doubt calculated, White appears to have a winning advantage in either case.

Aug-09-23  Granny O Doul: I don't believe this one. My guess is 12...Nf6 and later 16...Ng4+. I realize "Ng4" does not look much like "Rh6" on the scoresheet, but nevertheless.

<Granny O Doul> yes, makes sense. Given the existing score, White not only had to miss 13.Nxe4 and 15.Nxe4 but Black had to miss 18....Qf2#.

  perfidious: Even in 1929, Kashdan was a strong player and 12....Nxf6 was well known. This must be a transcription error, if a strange one.
