Jan-14-12  BIDMONFA: Anne Haast

HAAST, Anne

Oct-13-12  waustad: Is Mark Haast her brother?
Jan-05-13  waustad: It looks like she won't be in Tata this year. Lisa Schut is the lowest rated player in the C group. http://www.tatasteelchess.com/tourn...
May-19-13  waustad: She takes the early lead at the Vienna Chess Ladies with wins in the first two rounds: http://live.chess.at/chessladies/ Here is the results site: http://www.chess-results.com/tnr980...
Jul-08-13  waustad: Today she got taken apart by Zhaoqin Peng in the Dutch Championships. Here is a link for now: http://amsterdamchess.com/?q=nl/live

WannaBe: Got to purchase Rosetta Stone, learn Dutch. So I know what she is saying when I get dumped.
Jul-07-14  bystander: Good start for Anne Haast in de Dutch Woman Championship. She is leading with two wins out of two games Altough she just became 21 this is already the sixt time she participate in this Championship.
Jul-14-14  bystander: And Anna Haast became Dutch Champion 2014 after beating longtime champion Peng (if I am correct about 12 times!) in de final round.

WannaBe: Wonder if that counts as a norm for her (WGM)? And if she's already got 1 or 2...

Jul-16-14  waustad: The only WGM norm listed on the FIDE site is for Lisa Schut for Tata Steel Chess Tournament 2011 - GMC. That site doesn't have all norms listed, only those that have been submitted, as far as I can tell. Some people seem to wait until they have enough norms to submit all of the paperwork, so she may have achieved some without their being listed. The only one I looked into further was for the Vienna Chess Ladies where she came in 2nd, but her performance rating was a little too low there.

Looking at the FIDE norm rules, the only tournaments with fewer than 9 rounds that are good for norms are World Team or Continental Team Championships.

Nov-02-14  waustad: She'll be playing in the Tata B tournament, according to TWIC. One of the rounds will be played in Rotterdam in a building designed by Rem Koolhaas. What a great name for an architect.

WannaBe: Just read from Wei Yi's page link there:

http://www.tatasteelchess.com/news/...

Ms Anne will be in the challenger group.

Here are some pics of her, and looks like I will be rootin' hard for her!

https://www.google.com/search?hl=en...

Dec-20-14  waustad: She'll be playing a 6 round match versus Elisabeth Paehtz starting on the 23rd in Groningen. It appears that chessbomb will cover this: http://www.chessbomb.com/arena/2014...
Dec-20-14  waustad: <wannabe> There is some video of her available from the Groningen page, though it is in Dutch: http://www.schaakstadgroningen.nl/i...
Jul-12-15  waustad: With a draw in the final round she clinched the Dutch Women's Championship. Congratulations.
Jul-13-15  zanzibar: Submitted this photo for <CG> of her:

Aug-21-17  Onsey Seyon: Hey, just before I let move through a recent game, an eight-some move from the Dutch Championship, a studly one sitting here next to me in the library--he has something for her--he likes her a lot, I guess. He seems very intelligent--although he could be her Daddy for age--they are both under the same sky, though--she might very well go for it! Who knows!? (Anchorage, AK. Loussac Library)

FSR: She is gorgeous, in addition to being a strong player.
Dec-19-23  waustad: I see that Alexandre, Anne Shopie Elizabeth redirects here. I hadn’t seen her name in a while, so wondered if she had retired. She’s playing in Titled Tuesday blitz events at least.
