Sep-24-11  skytzo985: I talked to James yesterday and he will consider posting some games. If I know James, he will post the most artistic and instructional games - win, lose or draw (although he hasn't lost much in the past decade :)

NM JRousselle: Thanks for all the kind words. Now, if I can just get someone who is less technically challenged than I, we might be able to post a few games...
Sep-24-11  skytzo985: I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve.
Sep-24-11  howlwolf: I left a rather lenghty comment on this game that has been deleted: it congratulated Jim, analyzed a couple of junctures of his game with AJ, referenced a game that Jim and I played 30 years ago when we were both experts, and stated my opinion that he is the most talented homegrown Louisiana player of the last couple of generations. I didn't enter the AJ debate, which I have studiously avoided and which sometimes reminds me of the kids I counsel in junior high, and I didn't say anything negative about anybody. Yet my post has been deleted. This is my last post on this site that will consist of anything but just pure analysis. Congratualtions on your accomplishment, Jim. BIll Phillips aka Howlwolf

OhioChessFan: <solsk:(just in case you're searching for the origin of this verbal gem, it was famously attributed to myself as early as summer 2082) >

I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now.

Sep-24-11  howlwolf: What was it Gilda Radner's Rosana used to say? Nevermind.
Sep-25-11  solskytz: <OhioC>

once I was in high school in tenth grade, and one of the teachers was really angry at my class. Nobody was prepared on the material and he got no answer for his questions...

he exclaimed "you only go backwards!!!"

Everybody fell silent...

then I said "yeah, right, they told us that already in eleventh..."

NM JRousselle: I don't want to get into a verbal exchange. If you think I don't exist, check the USCF ratings list. If that does not work for you, show up at the La Pro-Am in March 2012.

BTW, for all you guys who keep sending hate mail to AJ, please confine your comments on this site to chess. I find it very annoying to have to parse thru this non chess dialogue to reach real stuff.

  LIFE Master AJ: Jimbo,

We still could use a brief bio and a pic ... (please?)

NM JRousselle: Compliments of Dr Mario Rodriguez of New Orleans, I am now in possession of the game score of the Rousselle-Phillips mad time scramble game. Be on the lookout for it.
Jul-30-13  Pballa: James, I'll my name to the list of posters who want to see some of your most instructive and memorable games here. The correspondence game against the IM and the must-win last round in the state championship (78?) come to mind. I'll help you upload them, if needed.

LIFE Master AJ: Congrats to Jim, he has now won his sixth state title.
Sep-04-13  skytzo985: James Rousselle, your 2013 Louisiana State Champion! Sixth time is the charm!
Sep-04-13  KlingonBorgTatar: <NM JRousselle> Congratulations Jim!! On your 6th Title !! :-) You make us 50 something year old guys proud! You remind me of Mick Jagger and the original Stones who are still at it. May you have more titles to come!! Cheers!!

perfidious: <Jim>: If you have submitted Rousselle-Phillips, have another go at it; I have had to send games twice or thrice before they found the mark, even those involving GMs in some instances.

LIFE Master AJ: Jimbo ... did you ever submit the Franklin game???

Never saw it (above) in your list of games.

NOTE: If you send me the file with all of your games, (score double-checked for accuracy) I will put it into the computer and submit them all here. (Your game with Zhong was VERY interesting ... as were many of your other games.)

LIFE Master AJ: One other note ... you have to actually submit it. (I don't bother with the process anymore. They NEVER post anything I submit anymore. I have submitted my games, GM games, your games, you name it. I think I am on some super-secret <<submit ban list>> or something.)
Sep-05-13  Alien Math: <LIFE Master AJ: One other note ... you have to actually submit it.> with correct submit and not duplicates, your attempt gather more higher success rate for, ask chessgames.com chessforum for game submit guide again,
Sep-05-13  Clunney: People really need to study a little bit of Scandinavian theory. Rouselle had winning positions in under 15 moves in all of his games as black in the state championship! Surely we can do better.......... -_-
Sep-05-13  Clunney: Rousselle* sorry, my spelling is garbage.
