Aug-17-14  waustad: One hopes he's named for the mighty hunter. It has been suggested in the Urban Dictionary that the less flattering usage of Nimrod came from a Bugs Bunny cartoon when Bugs calls Elmer Fudd Nimrod. Though not the most reliable source, it seems to be a likely explanation.

perfidious: One can picture a conversation with his trainer after a particularly vexing defeat:

Trainer: That kid you just lost a won position to is a patzer!

N: I know, I know.

T: How could you <do> a thing like that? You played like a $*#!($# Nimrod!

N: That <is> my name.

Apr-25-15  DiscoJew: Well that's a name I haven't heard for a while. Bit unusual.
