Grandmaster (1990).

He won the title of champion of Paris twice: in 1995 and 2015 (in 1984, he won the championship of Paris but the title of champion of Paris went to Alain Fayard, first Frenchman of the tournament of the capitals of the European community).

In July 1989, he was the first French player to pass the 2,500-point mark in the Elo Ranking. He was many times champion of France with his club Clichy. Olivier Renet finished second in the France chess championship, tied on points with the champion (beaten in the tiebreaker by Gilles Miralles in 1986 and Marc Santo-Roman in 1991).

Today, he is mainly dedicated to the training of players.

Paris champion 1984 and 1995. French vice-champion 1986 (behind Gilles Miralles) and 1991 (http://heritageechecsfra.free.fr/19..., losing the rapid play-off).

Played in World Team Ch 1985 (board 6), and European Team Ch 1989, 1992 (board 1) and 1997. Played in all olympiads 1986-1996 (board 2 1990-1994).

Karpov's second during the Karpov-Kasparov match in 1989. GM in 1990. Rating peak 2535 in 1993 (world no. 169). In 1996 he won the B-group of the French championship. Training, coaching, and giving lessons the last 10 years. Active ICC teacher, name: renet64
